how many 6'6+ SGs have we had in the past 10 yrs? If he's a true 'shooting guard', 6'6 is pretty good.
Who were our SGs this past season? Gallo, your boy Leal? both were under 6'6....and neither could shoot. So I consider that a step forward...glass half full. if he really is 6'6 and can shoot. And ready for P4 level ball.
He's not a "great shooter"...from the numbers, reading about him, and his film...he appears to be more of an all around scorer, using his size and physicality to get to the rim, rebound well, etc... He's not an awful shooter, but he doesn't appear to be any better in that regard than Gallo or Leal were.
I didn’t realize he was a SG, but 6’6 is an inch taller than all our guys recently. Tamar Parker Leal gallo all 6’5.
I guess SG at the end of his post was a good indicator.
Just from the film...he looks like he's built more like a linebacker. Heavier, stronger, etc... maybe a similar overall build to Parker Stewart, a little bigger. For sure bigger/stronger than Leal, Gallo, Tamar, etc...
Hopefully wouldn't be a guy we'd rely on as a starter/key wing scorer, when it all shakes out. But I would think could help in the main rotation quite a bit. Its all about fit and all that though, at this point.
You pumped to hear the chatter on Malik Mack? I remember you being very high on him. He proved himself playing in the big boy leagues at Georgetown this season.
Oh ya love me some Mack. Which means we for sure won’t get him. I can’t remember the last guard I liked we wound up getting.
