I missed most of the first half while watching the game-ending debacle at Purdue. IU took the first period 21-17 and had a 10-point lead late in the 2nd before OSU put in a basket to end the half with IU up 38-30. Gulbe didn't start in the game and I heard that she has had a non-Covid illness that was affecting her, and she came into the game in the 2nd period. Chloe Moore-McNeil started in Gulbe's place and scored 11 first half points, while Patberg had 13 points on 5 of 6 shooting to include 3 of 4 behind the arc. In the 3rd, IU had the lead up to 12 a couple of times before OSU cut into the lead at 49-44 on two 3s and a layup in three straight possessions. IU built the lead back up and led 57-48 at the end of the 3rd. IU maintained a lead anywhere from 9 to 13 points through the first five minutes of the 4th and it was up to 13 points with under five minutes to play. IU got a little sloppy near the end of the game and allowed OSU to close within 8 points with under two minutes to play. IU missed four straight FTs near the end of the game and OSU managed to pull within 6 points at 68-62 with 46 second left. It got a little hectic at the end with IU turning the ball over at OSU's end, but the Buckeyes couldn't convert. IU had very balanced scoring with Cardano-Hillary scoring 16 and Patberg with 15.
