1st period:
Lipscomb (3-1) is one of the better mid-majors that IU has faced so far early on. IU jumped out to a 9-2 lead forcing an early Lipscomb timeout. The Bisons' Pearson, a 42 pct 3-ball shooter, knocked down a couple of 3s as the Bisons closed the margin to three points at 13-10. IU was shooting the ball well but had far too many turnovers in the 1st.

End of 1st: IU 18 Lipscomb 12

Scalia had 9 points while Holmes had 6 points.

2nd period:
IU pushed the lead up to 26-16 and then both teams went cold for about three minutes before IU went on another big run. With under 3 minutes left in the period, IU pushed the lead up to 36-16, and it was on a 15-2 run.

Half: IU 39 Lipscomb 18
IU shot 51.7 pct from the field and 57.1 pct on 3s on 4 of 7 shooting behind the arc. IU outrebounded the Bisons, 21-11. IU was sloppy with the ball and had 9 turnovers which is about their per game average up till now and it kept the margin from being much bigger. Holmes and Scalia had 15 points apiece while Parrish had 7 points. Parrish left the last game early in the 3rd period with what was called a hammy issue, but she was good to go in this game with a leg wrap on.

Lipscomb shot 26.9 pct from the field at the half and was 28.6 pct on 3s.

IU had two players with multiple fouls with Parrish and Moore-McNeil with two fouls apiece. All five of Lipscombs' starters had two fouls each.

3rd period:
At the first TV timeout of the period at the 4:39 mark, it was 50-26 with the teams kind of trading points. After the timeout, IU started pushing the lead up again which included a two 3-balls by Beaumont and Scalia, and it was 55-26 with just over two minutes left in the period. Scalia nailed a 3-ball at the end of the period.

End of 3rd: IU 58 Lipscomb 31
IU outscored Lipscomb 19-13 in the period.

4th period:
Parrish left the game at the start of the period when she grabbed her left hamstring while running up the court. She hurt the hamstring in the last game against Murray Stat. Lipscomb knocked down two straight 3s to start the period and had an 8-5 run. At a timeout at the 6:01 mark, it was IU up 68-39. It was all reserves on the floor for IU at the 3:19 mark.

Final: IU 77 Lipscomb 44
IU was led by Scalia with 24 points and she was 5 of 7 on 3s. Holmes added 23 points. IU was 48.4 pct from the field and 45.0 pct on 3s. IU outrebounded the Bisons 43-27, and they improved on the turnovers in the 2nd half with five turnovers and 14 turnovers on the game. There were an unusually high number of illegal screens called in the game on both teams.

Lipscomb was 30.9 pct from the field and 33.3 pct on 3s.
