For those of you traveling to Atlanta for the game ...
  • The game will be played at State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta.
  • Miss. State plays Tulane at 11:30. IU plays Auburn at 2:00. You can actually fly in and fly out the same day.
  • If you are flying in, State Farm Arena is a 2-hop ride on the MARTA train from the Airport. All trains display route maps. The destination station is named: Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center. Don't be mislead by the fact that Philips Arena is now named State Farm Arena.
  • Take any train from the airport. Exit the train at 5 Points station. Follow the signs up a level to the West platform of the east-west line. Take any train 1 station west to the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center station. Exit the station going up the escalator to State Farm Arena. At the top of the escalator you are staring at State Farm Arena.
  • State Farm Arena/CNN Center/Omni Hotel are all part of 1 big complex. If you are staying at the Omni Hotel, exit the MARTA station, walk east about 50 meters and enter the CNN center. Keep walking east to the hotel.
  • I suppose someone has thought of a place to meet and drink beer before the game. I invite them to post the bar of choice on this thread.
For those of you craving even more entertainment, Nate Bargatze is performing at State Farm Arena on December 8 and December 10.

If you are not traveling to Atlanta, ESPN2 will broadcast the game.

Nate is hilarious, looking into adding that stop.

Should be a good game, Auburn likely a bit miffed after getting popped by App St. Should be a good IU crowd there, not a "Auburn home game" as predicted by one .

Follow up. Secondary sale seats are available for both Bargatze shows. Decent seats ar $150 - $200 plus fees. Higher and lower priced seats also available.

Seems there is intelligent life on this Board after all.

One more thing. If you are attending the game and not staying downtown, the traffic and parking around State Farm Arena is a pain. Daily parking at any MARTA station with parking is free. A MARTA train ticket costs something like $2.50. Park at a MARTA station and take the train to the door of State Farm Arena.

To see which MARTA stations offer parking, just search for “MARTA parking”.

Heard things attributed to Auburn like, low basketball IQ, poor 3-pt shooting, and IU has a better front court. This may not be a bad loss like was earlier predicted.

It shouldn't be a loss at all, but you never know. Is X playing or not?
