IU & UK to Restart Series Next Year...

Not this UK fan. I say it’s great for college basketball. There are Rivalries and there are media fabricated rivalries. This is a true RIVALRY between 2 Blue Bloods. You hate us. We hate you. Let’s get it on!!!!
You are my new favorite uk fan.
good luck this season

Dackich said same in his radio show. Says he personally talked to Calipari. Calipari said he didnt want to face us this year because we are too good according to DD. Whata pssy!
Yeah that didn’t happen. I believe DD said it but not that Calipari did.

In a world where everyone seems loathe to say anything that could be construed as controversial, DD at least speaks his mind, I'll give him that, and I find it refreshing. Doing that, he is on occasion going to step in it, but I can forgive a lot in that regard because he does speak his mind.

I'm sure there will always be some hurt there that he didn't get the HC gig permanently and that's got to be tough on the ego when you are so closely associated with the school and program. I'd rather have him crossing the line or even showing some of his frustration than to be a shill.

Also know that I've never listened to his radio program and only hear him during a TV broadcast, but I like when he's doing a game.
I’m fine with him on tv, but he’s a total ass and a bully on his radio show. And he lies.

Laz did it with class, although...his presentation is a bit 'wooden'. As for Quinn, I always liked him...he could call an IU game honestly and with entertainment value without ever sounding like an homer. That does take some ability, so good on him for that.

Suddenly my mind is stuck replaying his 'speaking in tongues' moment after the Pritch-slap dunk. I still watch that clip and think "love ya Quinn...but WTF did you just say??"
One of my favorite tv moments!

Those games in the early 90’s when both teams were ranked in the top 5 are still to this day the most electric atmospheres I’ve been in at a college basketball game. You guys had Calbert Cheaney, Damon Bailey etc. and we had Jamal Mashburn, Travis Ford etc. Just incredible high level of basketball on the court and an even higher level of hate in the stands. We need to get back to that!!

I attended two in the Hoosier Dome that were fantastic events. KY fans made up nearly half of the crowd and it rocked. Downtown was rocking before and after as many IU fans that could not get in the game were down there partying.

tell it to your Coach! Are you not aware of the # of UK fans that perished during your last visit to AH?

One of the problems I’ve had with college sports the last 30 years is the constant increasing destruction of rivalries. Why is Oklahoma not playing Nebraska in football? Or IU not playing UK in basketball? Kansas playing Missouri in both?!

Rarely agree with a toothless hillbilly, but it does occur from time to time…

If anyone ever sees DD at the hall make sure you tell him what an embarrassment he is to our program. He always says he gets treated so well, let’s change that. He talks more shit about IU than a PU troll.
He may be an embarrassment to the IU program but sadly, he's usually right. I admire a man not afraid to speak from the heart. He doesn't sugar coat it to make it sound more like something you want to hear. Let's face towards the sound of the bagpipe music, IU football and basketball have sucked, relatively speaking, for far too long of late. When that happens, it's more likely to hurt the ears. Don't blame Danny Boy, blame the athletic department responsible for developing good products.
