I've been pretty outspoken in calling out Rourke's play on Friday. I my mind, I thought it important to defend the Offensive Line who'd been the brunt of the national media's criticism (I hate how they all follow the same script. Once the script is established, that's all you hear, regardless of the channel) but to follow up

Cig's first words post game were that the locker room had "a lot of guys hurting in there" Based on their post game debrief, Rourke was at the top of that list.

I didn't see this yesterday Rourke, Ellison, Katic ND postgame

His comments are really a testament to the quality of character he has. Early in the season he put himself as a focal point by calling a players only meeting that I've heard players have attributed to be the defining moment, setting focus and direction of season. And now, in defeat, he still stands up and takes the burden of the loss. 100% leadership. I said elsewhere that his performance in the ND game very much damaged his resume' for the NFL, well IMO he just brought it back, hopefully for the NFL, but definitely for life. High character people are in demand in every field and I can see him going a long way.

Best of luck and success to Kurtis and all the final year players!! They really were a FUN team to watch and I'm going to cheer for them where ever they land.

Yes, Rourke’s Post Game quote was classy. He didn’t meet his own expectations and owned it.
