IU @ PSU, Game 3: IU drops the rubber match, 10-6...

It hasn't been my weekend as far as following the games as I joined this game when it was 3-3 in the 7th and the bottom fell out from there.

PSU has scored 7 runs over the last two innings of 7 and 8 to break a 3-3 tie as the game is in the final inning.

IU dropped the rubber match and Buhr who had been pitching well in middle relief picked this game to have major control issues which led to PSU taking the lead for good in the 7th.

The 9th ended with a Cerny flyout, and walks by Moore and Wiggins, who took 2nd and 3rd on a WP with one out.

Taylor walked to load the bases with Dickerson up and he Kd.

A Brenczewski double cleared the bases to make it 10-6. Hanley flied out to end the game.

Final: PSU 10 IU 6

IU had three errors in Game 3 and a total of six errors total in the three games. NOT GOOD!!!

Errors galore… lack of timely hitting when opportunities were there. Gilley was as going well but our D had different ideas.. buhr off day PSU masterclass in fighting off pitches while we have crap at bats with runners in scoring position. We had plenty of chances wasted… PSU didn’t waste theirs… IU still not measuring up…
