IU plays better, harder, and

What? Serious Question. Down 15, and on the bench getting his hand wrapped, iu starts making rum. VS Purdue, goes out with two fouls. Iu comes back to take the lead in the first half. Why?
Sour grapes. You couldn't reach the grapes, so they are sour.

Don’t you know..Because Romeo was great in high school he is not subject to any criticism.

He maybe missed the memo that D-1 talent up and down the opposing bench is better than HS. He needs to play like he is THE bad ass on the court. Maybe Zion Williamson runs a play for success seminar that can schedule a stop at the B-town Holiday Inn for the team to attend.

Romeo is a damn good player. He's been exposed concerning his outside shot. The players wait on him to shoot or make a play. I don't know if he's making the rest of the players better like a true star does. That said, he is a freshman looking for a check next season. But his talent is on the next level.
I figured with Morgan they would be as good a combo as there was in the BIG. It could still happen but they have to figure out how to get everybody involved. When they do they will go on a winning streak.

RL has the weight of the world on his shoulders and he is playing like it. 19 year old kid with talent to burn and is being expected to do too much. if there were other options and he could let the game flow to him he would tear things up but this team is so deficient in so many areas teams know if they shut down his drives and guard JM it is game over. Then having a freshman try and press the action this is what it looks like.

RL needs to mix it up more. Catch and shoot. Pass, cut hard, replace self for pass back. Pump fake, one dribble, mid-range jumper. Pump fake, hesitation, explode to rim. He's too predictable at times. Our offense frequently has the player next to the ball cut through to create more space. Defenses don't honor that cut and the extra defender is hedging in help position or double teams the ball. You really have to run your zone concepts against that maybe some zone quick hitters

A third scorer that can shoot from the elbow out changes the dynamics completely.

Scouts catch on quick in the Big.
He has a somewhat weak left hand .Teams are hedging hard and pushing him left.In high school he could get away with going right 80% of the time.
He's played better D than I expected.
All in all though he's a talented player.

It would be nice if he would fight through screens, hustle down the court (unless he truly is our slowest player) and actively go after 50/50 balls instead of watching Morgan, McRoberts and Durham.

He's really good in one on one situations though. Too bad opposing coaches won't give him that and they are beating him up his half assed effort on the defensive end.

Shooting 21% for the year, from 3 is not going to get him to the next level, unless he has ambitions to play in Bosnia.

And, Langford needs to do all these things on offense early in the first half, not with only 5-6 minutes to go in the game. He's good at drawing fouls and hitting his foul shots, and it wouldn't hurt to give the opponents some foul trouble a little earlier in the game.

If he's really a lottery pick, he should be able to take charge throughout the game, not just late in the game when it's desperation time for us and when our opponent is smelling blood.

Remember when everyone said he’d be an all time IU “legend”?

I was told I was unfairly criticizing Romeo by comparing him to Eric Gordon. I was “assuming he’d ONLY be that good”.

Where are those posters now?

God damn this place has gone downhill!

You mean like our entire athletic program?

Good question...Romeo will have absolutely no legacy here. Disappointing

If we don't make the tournament...
And he's gone...
Honestly it won't be much of a legacy..
And I'm on his train..
Yoi have to produce..Not just his own numbers.
And I'm sure we'll hear he had no help..
