If he accepts, does that mean no big man for 2020?

? Poor shooter. Where did you get that from? He shot 53% overall on the AAU circuit. He’s currently the 7th rated point in his class. And he’s an improving player. Great quickness with the ball and appears to be one of those players who can see a play developing before its there. A classic pass first point. His game and ability to separate from defenders with the ball reminds me a little of Juan Dixon.pass on this kid. He is a poor shooter, or worse. All-in on KLander.
Going all in is a risky strategy. Look at keon brooks.pass on this kid. He is a poor shooter, or worse. All-in on KLander.
34 offers. Wow it will be tough to get him.

We need multiple play makers on this team. Lander is far from a done deal anyway.
If this kid is good enough to be recruited by Kansas and the Ville he’s good enough for us.
agree with you on this one....everyone is screaming for us to get more high-4 stars/5s, but as these recruits climb in the rankings, they start getting offers from the Dukes/UKs/Kansas of the world. A coach has to be working on plans A, B, and C simultaneously. Otherwise you end up scrambling at the end of the recruiting season to snatch one away from Incarnate Word and give a 4 yr scholly to a good kid who is never going to see the court (sorry Priller the Thriller, didn't want to dump on a nice kid, but had to make a point).Going all in is a risky strategy. I wouldn’t rely on such a small sample size of shot taking to determine whether he can shoot from distance or not.21.6% from 3. He does look proficient on his layups.
Getting Garcia would be huge (although he seems to be more of an inside-out type of player rather than a true 'big' back-to-the basket type of player). Landing him would probably put our 2020 class in top 5-10 when it's over. But the blue bloods I mentioned above are now in hunt for him as his stock has soared, so I am skeptical that he'll wind up in Bloomington.Legit point. I really wanted Cross, but am now really pumped that IU got the commitment from Geronimo. I will do a little research on Curbelo before any more posts, as I sure don't want another Priller for 4 years.
and agree on Cross, you can never have enough tough hard nose kids on a team who won't wilt on the road in February. But this Geronimo kid seems like he's got some of that as well. Any kid who talks about how he values defensive effort (and not talk about what the program can do to get them into the draft asap) appreciates team-style ball over hero ball.Legit point. Finally a top 50 recruit...now we’re talking.
By stating an obvious and important stat?thanks for continuing to pay the least amount attention possible to all of this but commenting constantly. you are clearly a great student of the game.

would love to see it. But he has offers from UNC and Kansas, so we have our work cut out for us. Until he schedules an official visit I'm not getting hopes up.IU needs Garcia

Galloway can shoot and pass, and is 6'5" and a good defender. He's not a shooter at all, but one of the best passers and competitors in the class. If we can get him, we take him. I've been saying for a while that we need a true ball handler in this class.
Quinn Buckner was a poor shooter, Bobby Wilkerson often scared the hell out of me when he shot the ball, I'm glad they were on our team!pass on this kid. He is a poor shooter, or worse. All-in on KLander.
Quinn Buckner and Bobby Wilkerson were the best set of defensive guards in IU history. There was no 3pt line in 1976. That changed the game to put a higher premium and emphasis on 3pt shooting.Quinn Buckner was a poor shooter, Bobby Wilkerson often scared the hell out of me when he shot the ball, I'm glad they were on our team!
Bobby Wilkerson is still one of my favorite All-Time Hoosiers. He could change the game without ever scoring a bucket.Quinn Buckner was a poor shooter, Bobby Wilkerson often scared the hell out of me when he shot the ball, I'm glad they were on our team!
