The last 4 years IU has been recruiting athletes, when they needed to recruiting more basketball players . It’s good to have some athletes, but at the end of the day you need someone who can shoot the ball . Coach Knight didn’t always recruit the best athletes , but he sure had some really good basketball players. That’s why he won .

None...just this. You and we (RU) are top defensive teams due to athleticism. Neither have offensive cohesion. Both rely on 1:1 matchups rather than passing. When Baker or Harper happens to be hot in the isolation offense, they win. But this lack of team offense was the cause for a few horrible losses.
Look at Wisconsin. Three for sure, and maybe four of their starters would likely not start at RU or Indiana, they don't have much depth, and yet they are the best TEAM.
RU and Indiana are a collection of good athletes who when you watch them play it's not much different than watching a pick-up game among strangers.

Given the facilities, fan support, etc the fact our program is such a dumpster fires is just mind boggling.
Archie Miller did major, lasting damage to this program. It was apparent after year two that he should have been fired.
That's how Wisconsin wins so much. They took BK playbook of getting basketball players.
