IU is picking up where they left off in yesterday's game. In the 1st, Ashley had a RBI single, and Barr got a RBI on a SF. In the 2nd, IU returned to their long ball game with Ashley hitting a 3-run homer and Lloyd following up with a solo homer. Saalfrank is on the mound and he gave up a solo homer in the 1st.

IU just chased MD's starting pitcher as they go to the bullpen in the T3rd. After one out, IU got two singles and a walk to load the bases. After Gorski struck out looking for the second out, Ashley walked bringing in a run and then Lloyd hit a bases clearing double for 3 RBIs. IU has pretty much blown this game open.

In the 3rd, Saalfrank struck out the first two batters, but then gave up a single and a double for a run. However, he struck out their cleanup hitter for the final out. No harm done to speak of considering the score right now.

In the 4th, IU had a chance to add to their lead, but three strikeouts sandwiched around two singles, snuffed that chance out. It will be to the top of the order in the 5th.

Bradley just went yard to make it 15-2 in the top of the 5th. We have to be leading the college ranks in HRs. We now have 3 for the day and 51(?) for the season.

MD went to their bullpen again to face the top of the order in the 5th. After one out, IU loaded the bases on two walks and a hit batter. Barr drove in a run on a FC and then Richardson reached on an error which scored another run. Bradley then hit a 3-run homer all of which were unearned runs because of the error. Like yesterday, it looks like the end of the bullpen may get some innings in this game.

Saalfrank got into some trouble in the 6th, if you would call having a 13-run lead as being in trouble. After getting an out, he walked a batter and then gave up two singles to load bases, However, he got a pop-up and a strikeout to end the inning. I'm guessing he will pitch the 7th and then give way to the bullpen.

Bierman is in for Saalfrank in the 7th. Saalfrank had a good outing today.

Bloomington Bombers! Dang. They’re not playing around with these Maryland pitchers. Pauly has to be sitting there wondering WTH?? :)

IU strikes for four more runs in the 8th. After one out, IU loaded the bases on an error, a single, and a walk. Houston scored on a FC by Ashley. Lloyd then hit a 3-run homer with all runs being unearned because of the error.

Pauly pitched well in game one, well enough to win it. Our hitters got handcuffed by MD's #1 starter. Needless to say, once we got past their Friday starter, there was a major dropoff in their pitching.

Maryland got a meaningless run in the 8th. A double and then a WP put the runner on 3rd, and a GO scored the run.

Sloan, who came in to close it out in the 9th, gave up a two-out ho-hum solo homer. We clubbed another four homers today. Saalfrank gave up two earned runs over six innings. Lloyd had seven RBIs while Ashley had five RBIs. I was going to bring up that we had 12 Ks today, but I decided not to considering how well we hit the ball. IU's box score:
