IU was nowhere to found in the polls to start the season and I don't believe they were even getting any votes, but they have started to get some support in them. IU is not in the D1Baseball or Baseball America polls.

IU is No. 24 in the latest Perfect Game poll:

IU has 28 votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll which puts them two spots out of their top 25:

IU is not in the College Baseball Newspaper Poll which is a top 30 poll, but our Tuesday opponent in Ball State is, and they are at No. 26. Ball State is in 1st place in the MAC right now and has a RPI of 82 as of today. It will be interesting to see if they take the same approach that Indiana State took in the midweek game last week where they threw three of their better pitchers at IU, while IU continued to use several pitchers for one to two innings each. I might add that IU plays the Ohio U Bobcats in a three-game series over April 21 to 23 and Ohio is currently in 2nd place in the MAC although their RPI is not as high as Ball State's RPI and it stands at 152 right now.

As of Monday night, the Hoosiers are ranked #17 in NCAA's RPI rankings, up from #28 the week before. It's probably unrealistic to expect that ranking to hold once we start playing more away games. But it's nice to breathe "top 25" air once in a while.

IU moved up four spots in the Perfect Game poll for 4/17 and is now No. 20. IU continued to be the only B1G team being ranked in any of the polls. Our opponent tomorrow in Louisville is No. 10 in that poll, and they are well entrenched in all of the baseball polls that are out there.

IU moved into the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll (top 30 poll) for the first time and is No. 23.

IU gained votes in the USA Today Coaches poll, going from 28 votes to 40 votes, but they fell back some, going from 27th last week to 31st as teams jumped in front of them, and naturally, they are all sunbelt teams.

IU was not in the D1Baseball poll or the Baseball America poll, with the B1G being blanked in those polls.
