Romeo certainly is not the guy, the charge with a minute in regulation, the pathetic three try at the buzzer and then missed free throws in OT.

Recruit guys like Bohannan, they'll win games for you, not these ignorant athletes.

We have lost three games recently we should have won. And all were lost in the last minute.if we could finish games we would be 7-9 and in the tourney but no..

This is not a last minute result. For the season IU is 326th in Div1 FT%. There are 351 teams in Div 1 at this time. Can you imagine-only 25 teams in the country have a worse FT% than IU. These guys really can’t shoot very well.

You can guarantee one thing. The rest of the B1G is loving this. IU used to represent tough, smart, and team oriented players. I can't believe the team as it is currently constructed can't get their best players to be in positions to score. The game is a lot easier when your two best players are the two best options. I'm not talking about this last game. I am talking about the overall mindset.

Expected this thread to be focused on the Coaching Staff...

The only one that is ignorant here is you.
It must make you feel real good to call 18-22 year olds ignorant.

Nothing wrong with recruiting 4 & 5 star players that can shoot and are athletes. I’m watching MSU vs. Michigan game right now and I think many IU fans aspire for them to be like those two teams.

Btw, it’s an interesting word choice to use the word “ignorant” when describing the athletes. Certainly not the adjective I would choose. I take it you think Romeo is dumb?

Ignorant - lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about a particular thing.

Yes, when it comes to basketball, most of our stud athletes are ignorant.

Romeo, Rob, and Morgan are IU's best final shot options to win the game. 2 are Freshmen.

Coaching will not improve free throws, shooting, assists, turnovers, rebounding and defense. What’s wrong with you guys

Damon Bailey's daughter played at USI this weekend. My son was there working the men's game that followed. He had a couple of minutes to talk with Damon. My son asked Damon what was going on in Bloomington and that they could sure use his shooting this year. Damon said there is a lot more wrong than his shooting could fix.

One area Damon is probably referencing is the lack of a real leader. We have nobody that takes charge of the team in huddles, or on the court. I would expect that is the case in practice and off the court. That player would naturally rise to the top and want to take those big shots or be involved in the process.

Our players are soft spoken and don't seem to really push each other. They do their work and leave the leadership to others.

Morgan leads by example, but he hasn't shown to be a team leader. We haven't had a leader since Yogi left. A senior doesn't become a leader because he has been there the longest and a freshman with leadership ability knows he has to earn trust before he can lead.

A leader doesn't wait to be asked. A leader takes charge and does not ask permission. Coaches validate the leader and makes it known that those that have chosen to be followers should listen to the leader. The coaches need to make sure "the one" is a leader and not a vengeful dictator.

Think about those leaders that got the most out of you. You trusted them and wanted them to be successful. I don't see any leaders on this team.

Romeo is not an ignorant athlete. He is a talented freshman.

I never like clear out plays but in defense, if there is one guy who is comfortable with it, it is Romeo.

A number of Miller's losses at IU have been by a couple possessions. When that is the case, the bigger issue is just game awareness and learning to value possessions as a team a little better.

I don't blame Morgan for guarding a guy 7 inches taller and giving up a tip in. The shot in double OT against OSU last year, not much could have been done other than get one more stop.
It comes down to executing well inside of 7 minutes. As IU's guards gain experience I think we will begin to see that.
