IU Athletics eliminates 25 positions in layoffs as it braces for NCAA revenue sharing

The Indiana athletics department eliminated 25 positions as it looks to trim 10% of the budget from each of its auxiliaries and programs.

According to multiple sources, Deputy Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator Mattie White was among the employees laid off.

White spent 19 years in the department, working her way up through academic and student services to a senior administrative role during Fred Glass’ tenure. She was elevated to her current position as one of Athletic Director Scott Dolson’s deputies in 2020, when Dolson was promoted to AD as Glass’ replacement.

Hell of a thing if football gets capped and the money floods left-handed sports. Sec of Ed sounded like the uswnt saying it’s just not fair bc the women athletes work just as hard.

But that wasn’t the genesis of any of this stuff. Didn’t it all go back to o bannon. Schools making a buttload of money off the top players. Their likeness. Well that certainly isn’t the non revenue athletes. Female or male. Title IX is a mess
