The Tom Crean cult is to blame for all of this. We had so many good options available had he been fired after year 3. No one to blame besides our own fanbase.
Fire him after Vic and Cody's last season? The team that was #1 for a spell?
I hated Crean. But IU couldn't have fired him then.
Maybe it’s our own fanbase? We put so much pressure on these dudes… some of you basically stalk them from the time they’re 14, show up in Indiana gear, screaming at them when you’re freshmen in high school and then bash the shit out of them as soon as they lose a game. Some of this is on us.

Pretty much all IU had to do is hire Butler's coaches from an hour up the road.
You two obviously weren’t fans back then. Crean’s 3rd year we went like 12-20 and finished last in the Big Ten. While Butler was in the title game.
Seems to be going around these days. With fans like this, if I were coaching IU I would consider outlawing social media completely for players and coaches.
You are correct. Huge win today and great effort. A second half like that against a talented Michigan team could (and I hope does) lite a spark that could make for an interesting end of season. Go IU!
How so? Beat Illinois and we may be able to salvage it and slip into the tourney but a below .500 record in conference isn’t a good season
The good news is if IU happens to have a better season next year and even better the year after then folks like you will disappear. When IU beat Purdue and were 16-5 you guys were nowhere to be found.

No way Crean played high school ball did he? Wasn’t he the one that looked like a newborn baby while shooting? I just assumed he had never played in his life.
As a PU fan watching the B10 for 40 years, that’s closest IU has looked to being an IU team since Bobby left. If you can’t see what your coach did in year 1 with a bunch of transfers, you are a complete moron. Anyone calling out coaches in the first half, they obviously do not understand the game. My dad is an IU fan and you are exactly the IU fan that he says needs to shut the hell up. I agree with me dad, but as a PU fan it makes laugh to see IU fans lose hope so please continue. Thanks for posting and I concur. Defensively and from an effort perspective Woody has worked minor miracles imo over what I saw last year and generally since Knight left.
We need to make more shots still. Fingers crossed we do that going forward.
