.....in what is becoming a Hoosier tradition: Looking for a new coach. I submit the following:

Rod Carey - Northern Illinois. Bring him back home.

Frank Solich - he's not older than Bill Snyder, right?

Matt Wells - Utah State...one can only hope.

Justin Fuente - Memphis...a proven game changer.

Matt Rhuel - Temple...another program building guy.

Dino Babers - Bowling Green...if you can't beat 'em, have them join ya.

Mark Hudspeth - Lafayette Louisiana...he has a solid resume.

Notice that all of these guys are head coaches. No more experiments.

You need to add Ken Niumatalolo - Navy, Troy Calhoun - Air force or Paul Johnson (if GaTech is dumb enough to fire him) to the list. Option Football isn't boring if you are winning. We have tried everything else and we keep getting the same old results. Plus no one said that you couldn't pass in the Option scheme and I would love for us to make some other teams sweat it out trying to prepare for us instead of counting our game as an automatic win. Just think what Navy did to us and what CTC or CKN could do if they had a little more talent at their disposal. Indiana should be able to draw a little better talent than AF or Navy. Those guys always seem to get more out of less.
Just food for thought.

This business is 60% about recruiting and what happened last night isn't going to help what is already an incredibly underwhelming recruiting class, even for Kevin Wilson since he's arrived.

The alarms are sounding......lets see how they end the season.

Red, you need to hop in the car and head to Myrtle Beach. Nothing left to at this train wreck

Nice list...and not one would take the job here, at any price imo. Just a dream...

I agree on all points. We got a home run with Hep. Let's go grab another proven head coach and knock it out of the park.

100% agreed.

Brady Hoke is out there, National Coach of the year at BSU, SDU and Michigan

CORSO, lee was great fun and made IU football a fun autumn afternoon. Actually I believe the Memphis coach would want to move to one of the big 5 conferences, that is where it at in today's environment.

If I am Justin Fuente, I leave Memphis for a chance to go somewhere and compete for a national playoff berth. Do you seriously think you can do that at Indiana? In more than 100 years of football, we have finished in the top four only twice.

It wasn't very long ago at all Baylor stunk and was drawing maybe 30k a game.

IU needs a Home Run hire in football or IU will never go to a major bowl again in my lifetime. It will take a superstar coach to win at football at IU.

Gruden, Spurrier, Chip Kelly, Memphis' coach
I already gave you the economics for Gruden and Kelly, and that's just to talk. Spurrier is done. I like Fuente, but he'll be a top candidate for several openings. It will take at 3 to 3.5 million to get him, plus a big bump in the assistants salaries.

You've got to be kidding me with all these name! Don't you think Glass tried this before hiring Wilson??!! Don't any of you know how the process works? Wilson wasn't even they're third choice, despite what was said at the time. He was the best we could get! Now, if we fire him, exactly who is left that WILL come??? Not one of you has an answer other than your wish list. OMG! The perception among coaches is that Wilson has done the best possible! How will convince a top ten coach to come here? Money?!!! Lol They'll always get the same or more at a school without our history. Look I want a winning team as bad or more than most, but daydreaming our way through this problem is not the answer. Geeesh!! Spurier! OMG again! Lol

Who were the first three choices that turned Glass down?

Amnesia? Funny how that happens when you make something up. I don't remember it for the same reason you don't remember it. It was never reported.
