Public radio types are always concerned about not getting federal funding. If federal funding stopped tomorrow, private support would not only replace but exceed that federal funding. Now there are some small radio stations that might not survive but to anyone who has driven around the country I think you'll notice you can pick up on the radio at least 3-5 public stations in that region almost anyplace at the same time on the radio dial. Seems like every town has their own station.
