Mayberry U can’t compete with modern America. This ain’t the 1980s anymore.
The big ten is down and we are down more than the league. We will finish with a losing record in a bad league and not remotely sniff consideration of being a bubble team.

Long way from the bubble. We've played two tournament level teams, to date, both on neutral courts and got flat out embarrassed.
Not exactly how you build a tourney resume. Weak conference this year, isn't going to let you muddle through with a .500 conf record and limp in the field.

Shooting. Crean’s team could shoot. Sampson’s team could shoot. Mike Davis’ Final Four team could shoot.

Since Archie arrived in 2016 IU has become one of the worst shooting teams in the country and frankly there is no end in sight.

True. All our sweet sixteen or better runs involved shooters. Davis. Crean. This team won't go anywhere in the tourney zero shooters. I guess that's if we make it. Crean annoyed me but his better teams were loaded with shooters. Firing crean without an almost sure thing was probably a big mistake. Maybe could have waited a year. Archie was a flavor of the month guy.
A dumpster fire on slow burn....thats what this program has become. What IU needs is a brand new state of the art arena.....a successful new coach who can relate to today's players...pay him whatever it takes....and get rid of the candy stripes...except for special games....such as senior night. The tradition that today's players see in Indiana is a tradition of losing. The rest is ancient history. We need to stop living in the past.
The jerseys needed to be change a decade ago. We have been to one final four in 30 years. The history is ancient at this point. Time to get modern.
If I was constructing a team for todays game, I would get the best shooter I could at each position. They'd have to be at least an average defender as well. I wouldn't have many players on my roster that couldn't shoot.
