My bad. I thought we were now operating under the assumption all Gazans are Hamas. If we are recognizing that they are two different things, and the House GOP is only calling for the eradication of Hamas, and not of Gazans generally, then I gladly take back my genocide remark.
He clearly used the word terrorists. So, it’s up to you to decide if there is a distinction.
So I do still pretty much support a sanitized version of that. Not wanton murder which tends to go along with that phraseology but definitely forced relocation. Outside of saying the US should occupy it, I actually think Trump was maybe onto something with the idea of removing the Arabs in Gaza from Gaza and just handing it over to Israel as the solution. Sucks for those people but it also sucked for the Germans who got ran out of places like Poland and Czechoslavakia after WW2 as well.
Allowing them to rebuild in the status quo is just setting the table for this again.
All that said, that is what will happen. They will rebuild and we'll do this dance again at some point down the road.

No, that's just absolutely disgusting. I don't support the ethnic cleansing solution to the Palestinian question. And it's really annoying that you people read into that more than what it is.
But no decent human being can support the shitshow that is Hamas. Just awful people.
The problem with these recent events is that it shows a moral rot in the Palestinian culture that goes far beyond Hamas.
I suppose that's a real possibility. But any society is prone to the bandwagon effect, so...
Give the Palestinians real leaders with real worldly goals and knowledge, and you might find them quite different.

They have the leaders they want, that promote the ideology they want, & carry out their wishes as a society. Some individuals might be decent, but as a society they are irredeemable.
They haven't had an election in, what, twenty years? How do you know they have the leaders they want?
Support for Hamas is double the next highest, more disturbing is that over 2/3 of Palestinians support the Oct 7 attacks. Irredeemable.
