Isaac McNeely to Louisville too

I'm not sure what Kelsey is doing there but he's got a heckuva back court recruited into Louisville.
Wooley, McNeely, Conwell ... all 40%+ 3pt shooters, two of them triple threats, all three capable ballhandlers and facilitators. That's the type of team build and guard core that wins championships in this era.

Every year since the portal has become a thing, the above type team build has been my hope for IU. Every year we end up spending money on bigs which have little to no impact on winning and end up with crappy ass second rate one dimensional backcourts .. as I watched SEC and Big 12 teams build championship level backcourts ... and now L'ville ..

Coach better get off his ass, the clock is ticking.

It’s early. At this time last year UK had 1 player on the roster and 90% of their current team hadn’t even entered the portal yet.

I won't be surprised if he ends up with RJ Luis and his Center of choice. Conwell, Wooley, McNeely and Brown has to be 6mil. They're in the top 4 for RJ Luis. Then there's Nate Ament.

It is early. But where is the buzz on visits, interest, etc? It’s concerning.
It really is not that early given lots of these guys are picking a school within a few days. Lots of guys are already off the board. I get the feeling we will be scrambling late. We have two guys but neither I would consider like a big portal win. One is his son and other is guy who played for him before.

I hold IU to the same expectations as Michigan, Louisville and Kentucky year one. Its probably unrealistic for our first year coach to duplicate what there's did. They had been to final 4s this century. However with the perspective staff that's coming in, we should pop pretty soon. We can lock up deals through agents during the dead period.

He most certainly should be held to those same expectations. Especially given we have more money than Michigan did. All those coaches were unproven we are told so there is zero reason our guy should be given the well this is going to take several years to get this thing going window. Dolson could of hired May last year or Beard this year and choose not too but the expectations still need to remain high.

I sure hope you're right. But I'd be lying if I said that I have those same expectations. And the reason I don't is because our beloved MBB program has been stupefyingly poorly run for a long time. Yeah, the cupboard's bare -- again. Wonder why.

Only time will tell if they finally got this right. I'm not going to get too caught up in this or that player commitment, here or elsewhere. All that matters is what happens on the court.

That’s how I see it.

Louisville
All he did was compete in conference, make the tourney and lose early. Those are not exceedingly extreme or delusional expectations for this program. NIL and open transfer shows quick turnarounds aren't something you have to wait years for anymore.
