All I know is Trump is wildly at work in appointing possibly the most neo-con pro military industrial complex cabinet in history. I didn't think he could top Bolton and Pompeo. Hard to claim naivete at this point.

I know you don’t like to talk about military strategy for obvious reasons but I trust I speak for the board in saying thanks for putting this out there. Will calm a lot of nerves

I don't know about calming nerves, but the two did spend an hour or two talking, when the meeting was supposed to be a quick one. I can't think about anything else that they'd discuss, since Trump already said he was going to reverse all of Biden's previous domestic EOs.

To me, it would make sense for Trump to tell him he wasn't going to crticize Biden for such a decision (Trump hasn't, so far). "Vlad, look, it wasn't MY fault those crazy Ukrainians lobbed missiles at your dacha."
