Parnas lived in FL, and was charged/convicted of illegally funneling a Russian oligarchs money into "political campaigns". DeSantis downplayed his connection to Parnas and returned the $50,000, but the texts show a much deeper relationship than DeSantis portrayed. Including DeSantis contacting Lev and asking him to be the go between and convince Trump to endorse him...
So at the very least DeSantis lied, possibly to investigators. There are some 60 or so texts, and it appears DeSantis was unaware they still existed. There may be some that are incriminating, but even if they don't show criminal conduct the fact that they exist is an example of the type of rookie campaign mistakes the thread deals with...
