They might hit 20+ threes on us.

Both these Iowa teams are so much more fun to watch than IU.

look at the remaining big 10 schedule, there all going to be tough match ups. Minny at home is the 1 game on the schedule that you could look at and confidently say that's a win. well, that's over. this season is going to be very interesting. could become a total implosion or maybe this team surprises. not sure what to expect would probably lean towards implosion hope that's not the case

In what way? Just because they shoot a lot of threes?

I thought IU against Minn was an enjoyable game to watch.
They played with energy and their was several times where they actually played good D.
Eliminate some of the STUPID TO's (like hitting the rim on a pass - TWICE) and they could be dangerous.
Unfortunately, I have no confidence in good play becoming a habit for them based on the past three years.

How they get to those threes is just so much more fun to watch, for me. As I've posted a bazillion times on here, I just prefer watching "5 out" type offenses. And both teams employed that quite a bit last night. And when either team did send someone in to the post, they usually back cut people off it...and/or really focused on looking opposite for skip pass 3s. Iowa State did have a horse inside that made some traditional post moves as well, but it was more opportunistic than a focus.

Even Raftery referred to it at one point last night...called it "beautiful basketball", because the lane was open.

I did enjoy the Minnesota game, yes. I really liked our strategy and execution on how we were guarding Garcia. And I thought we pushed the ball up the floor a lot more than I remembered us doing in most other games this year. But when we got in to offensive sets, even when we're trying keep things more spaced and opened up, it just doesn't look at flowing or as pretty. And then the execution can just be awful...throwing lobs off the rim...throwing passes in to impossibly tight windows for turnovers...And the standing around and watching ISO action that still happens too often.

The more I've seen of other Big Ten schools . And generally others like Iowa St.Duke.UK..Auburn..Even midpack SEC schools.
I'd say .500 in conference will be a huge struggle for this Hoosier team.

You might be right and if that is the case then bye, bye Woodson!

Tonight will be a decent indicator.
