Curious on what's everyone's thoughts on this seasons injuries and your in game and practice impacts on this team.
Sounded like from the Atlantis presser we are going into 3 games in 3 days without Cupps and Newton, and who knows about Leal.
Add to that, in the last game, Galloway looked like he was moving with cinder blocks for shoes, and on a minutes restriction, the backcourt depth is nearly non-existent.
A few takeaways for me.
1. Never ever ever ever should a coach count on a player coming back from injury to match any expectations based upon previous performance.
2. Given #1 above, instead of using the last scholarship on a practice player big, it would have been much better to use that open scholly on an athletic ballhandler who wanted to play up a level in his final season. A mid major Jamal Meeks or Tony Freeman type.
3. Can Tucker guard 1's and 2's successfully this early in his career if either Rice or Carlyle get into foul trouble?
Seems like a big ask against a team with a talented backcourt or when there are 3 games in 3 days and your entire ooc performance rides on success.
