We happened.Stepped away to watch Pacers with IU up double digits. Just returned at the half and we’re behind? What happened?
That was reckless by X. It is his body, I guess. But, one play isn't worth sitting out injured. That looks like a broken arm!
??? What the hell are you talking about? He attacked the rim and got fouled trying to dunk the ball. That was reckless by X. It is his body, I guess. But, one play isn't worth sitting out injured.
Are you serious? That was reckless by X. It is his body, I guess. But, one play isn't worth sitting out injured.
I thought he looked out of control. It's too bad if that play ends up being the last one in his IU career.??? What the hell are you talking about? He attacked the rim and got fouled trying to dunk the ball.

Aggressive drive to the hoop for a jam. Defense knocked him off balance to land awkwardly. Happened to me in a game but I landed on my tail bone. Could barely walk for a week or play for two. Most painful injury I ever had.I thought he looked out of control. It's too bad if that play ends up being the last one in his IU career.
He's 6'2 and tried to tear the rim off of the backboard at full speed right after coming back from an injury, all over an Iowa big. He has gotten injured before by going too hard and landing awkwardly. Out of control normally doesn't end well.??? What the hell are you talking about? Those kinds of plays in traffic are always dangerous. Can X even dunk? He laid in a breakaway earlier, so I’m not sure. Clearly, he was trying to be uber aggressive and it would have been spectacular, but the risk/reward probably wasn’t worth it.He's 6'2 and tried to tear the rim off of the backboard at full speed right after coming back from an injury, all over an Iowa big. If it is the Super Bowl, go for it. If not, live to play another down and put your team first. X isn't doing anybody any good if he's sidelined with an injury. Those kinds of plays in traffic are always dangerous. Can X even dunk? He laid in a breakaway earlier, so I’m not sure. Sometimes dunking it is the right play. Better that than getting a layup blocked. If it is the Super Bowl, go for it. If not, live to play another down and put your team first. X isn't doing anybody any good if he's sidelined with an injury.
He's 6'2, and the Iowa defender was like 6'9. The only time X should be dunking is on a break away.
X has done many things that were detrimental to the squad but this was not one in my view. The defensive foul caused him to become horizontal and land on his arm as he tried to break the fall. I feel for him in this case as he was playing hard. Plus the pain must have been intense. I will criticize when warranted but he was trying to help his squad win a game. He's 6'2 and tried to tear the rim off of the backboard at full speed right after coming back from an injury. How is he going to help the team on the sideline injured? Was that one play worth it? You can play hard and be reckless at the same time. He's not Russell Westbrook, and the odds of him putting the 6'9 Iowa defender on a poster were slim and none.X has done many things that were detrimental to the squad but this was not one in my view. Name a high level athlete that considers injury possibilities when trying to make a play. How is he going to help the team on the sideline injured? Was that one play worth it? You think he knew that was going to happen? The free throws helped win the game. We needed a basket and he saw an opening. Both players were making plays to win the game. How is he going to help the team on the sideline injured? Was that one play worth it? You can play hard and be reckless at the same time.
Anybody with a brain that wants to play the next play. You have to land somewhere, and you have to pick your spots. You don't have to hit a home run at every at bat. One play vs. the rest of the season. Why do QB's slide instead of taking on linebackers and D-linemen?Name a high level athlete that considers injury possibilities when trying to make a play.
That's the mentality of us Thursday night beer league players, but not the elite.Anybody with a brain that wants to play the next play. You have to land somewhere, and you have to pick your spots. Your reasoning is rational but not when you are in the game going hard. He's got to play hard and attack, and he did. If you spend seven a second holding back, you're gonna fail. How is he going to help the team on the sideline injured? Was that one play worth it? You can play hard and be reckless at the same time. maybe but guys do it all the time. He's 6'2 and tried to tear the rim off of the backboard at full speed right after coming back from an injury, all over an Iowa big. He has gotten injured before by going too hard and landing awkwardly. Out of control normally doesn't end well.

Didn’t watch Gardner Minshew much this season, did you? They don’t slide if they need a first down to win a game.
It is called discipline and being under control. I'm not trying to pile on X and the broken arm is certainly punishment enough. But, X has a discipline and control issue, and it has been his fatal flaw.Your reasoning is rational but not when you are in the game going hard. He's got to play hard and attack, and he did. Dude the foul is what got him hurt. Put him almost horizontal. He's 6'2 and tried to tear the rim off of the backboard at full speed right after coming back from an injury, all over an Iowa big. Don’t recall ANYONE criticizing Trey last yr for being reckless when he tried to dunk over Edey, it was aggressive and yes, X has dunked beforeThat was reckless by X. It is his body, I guess. But, one play isn't worth sitting out injured.
Reminds me of my senior year court level seats near the pep band and playing North Carolina. Isiah Thomas stole the ball and came flying towards us and tried to dunk over two 6'10" guys from NC. I loved Isiah from that point forward. Woodson's senior year also. He's 6'2 and tried to tear the rim off of the backboard at full speed right after coming back from an injury, all over an Iowa big. Well either way I was told that X stinks and we are way better off without him anyway. That is what many on here said for the last two months. His arm is not broken!
I honestly don't know what the facts surrounding May's arm injury were. But, if I had to pick between those circumstances or going undefeated national champion, I'm picking the latter. This is stupid. My son broke his thumb diving for a loose ball. He sprained his shoulder trying receive a pass on a oress and got knocked horizontal by the defender. Should he not have tried for a loose ball or try to break a press?
What if X had tried a layup and gotten neck broken? You going say he should have just dunked it or that he should have taken a floater? Injuries happen. Stop trying create an issue where it's not warranted. Guess May was reckless and undisciplined as well against Purdue.
Still say it. If he didnt leave the game we loose. But I dont want anyone getting injured and I do feel sorry for him. Hope he has a full recovery but we will be better off without him.Well either way I was told that X stinks and we are way better off without him anyway. I don’t think any player should ever jump. Just look at the danger. Look at all of those opponent feet (there are 10 of them out there) that a player could land on. Look at Malik. What the hell was he thinking - jumping up in the air like that?players dont think like that they go with what they see.
