Remember last year when all the excuse birds were blaming injuries to Race and Hunter as the cause of our bad season, well I’d like to officially call bullshit on that.

Yes, but sadly he’s just a freshman, forced to play in unfamiliar venues, against more seasoned players. He hasn’t shown a consistent touch when soft touch is needed. Think how he would perform season four in IU uniform. We’re only seeing the raw puppy dog, the more playful, occasional moments of new discoveries exhorted...h-m-m-m, something not seem right there. Exerted maybe better here. Yet to be, the well-heeled mastery of inbred rebound dominance, the heavier weighed one of Dale in the Jackson-Davis duality of sporting physicality.

Back in the day TJD would have been a freshman role player for Knight just to put things in perspective

No he wouldn’t. TJD starts on almost every Knight coached team from day 1. Was Alan Henderson a bench role player as a frosh? Or was he a starter on a championship caliber team?

Thank you for clearing the way to that vision. Seriously, you are dead on-Back in the daze, excuse me, days of IU basketball before now not what it was. Sound fair enough? Everything runs in cycles, endlessly. We are on the downward cycle of quality of play when the enjoyment factor is figured in. Maybe it’s just Old Fogey way of thinking here, but maybe these younger kids have just ...no, maybe our expectations for play more Knight-like ain’t liken it, remembered only by dying members soon forgotten, nearly everyone, never more. Before long comes a look ‘n, we’ll all be gone, as will the memories of the way it used to be, the days forever, dearly departed, the days when IU basketball was king.

I see your line of thinking and accept it. TJD is very good and I hope he gets even better while st

Knight would enjoy the opportunity to coach a player of TJD’s potential. Ample playing time would be there for TJD to earn. I think TJD would have risen to The General’s challenge and likewise, The General to the challenge TJD presents.

TJD couldn't hold Henderson's jock

Just to clarify, the most significant injury though was to Rob. And that nasty concussion might very well be effecting his play this year. Can’t know for sure but he remains a shell of the player he was last season at his best.

Uh Henderson averaged 12 pts and 7 boards a game as a freshmen. I think TJD’s season so far has been better. And (obviously) TJD doesn’t have the benefit of Knight coaching him. Henderson became an all time great at IU and an ok pro, not a star. TJD has the raw tools to become a very good player, and possibly an excellent player in the future.

Who ya benching Calbert, Henderson Anderson

I said almost every team, or a great majority if you’d prefer that instead. There have been very few big men at IU over the last 40 years that would play ahead of him. Henderson is an all time great and if TJD were to stay all 4 years, he would be too. At least statistically on par with Henderson. Anyone watching can clearly see that. Sorry, William Gladness won’t get you 25 and 15 on his best day. TJD could do it on any given night. We can go down the line if you want. Year by year but my point still stands and you’re still a moron.
