Indiana/Notre Dame Prediction Thread

With a little defensive help, one team will score a quick 14 before the 1st quarter is done. It will be too much, too early and will allow them to pull out the win.

That team: Indiana. 31 - 24 Hoosiers.

Feels like optimism is the best approach for this historic prediction.

We see "UCLA, Nebraska, 2nd half Washington, 2nd through 4th quarter MSU, first half Michigan, first drive OSU, Purdue...Indiana" early and for most of the game Friday night. A crowd that was already going to be docile, compared to some others this weekend, actually turns and becomes somewhat "pro IU". We get up relatively big early, force them out of their running game, and pick them off a couple times.

IU 48 ND 22.

Marcus Freeman all of a sudden on the hot seat. UGA shaking in their boots.

ND 27 - IU 17

We lose, but come away feeling good about ourselves, holding our heads high. Someone always has to play the devil’s advocate. Don’t be that guy, for it is I. If IU was playing in Bloomington, or if a day game in South Bend, it would give IU a better chance. Being a night game, it adds another obstacle for IU to overcome, that is the unfamiliarity with the artificial lighting in a foreign stadium as it affects the passing game.

That said, I hope I’m full of sh*t in overthinking it, as an IU victory here would be forever bookmarked in the Annals of IU Football History.

I hate Notre Dame…always have/will. The only time I root for them is when they play Purdue, which isn’t very often now.

Mine's coming later.

Have at it.

Go Hoosiers!!
IU: 24
Irish: 23

Epic game in the biggest game of our school's history. Victory favors the team who makes the fewest mistakes. Eliminate dumb / untimely penalties. Win the turnover game. Execute 4-5 plays in critical moments throughout the game. If we do this, we win.

I can’t hit like for this but unfortunately I mostly agree. The deck is stacked against us in almost every way that it’s going to be a steep hill to climb and it will take a perfectly played game for us to win. Possible but unlikely!
Win or lose I’m elated with the season we’ve had and it’s been far greater than my wildest dream.
