Indiana/Michigan State Prediction Thread

The thing that really stands out about MSU, is that absolutely nothing stands out about them. Their biggest win is either at Maryland or home to Iowa. Their biggest offensive output was 40 against Prairie View A&M. They don't do anything great, but they still have a lot of talent, and I like the coaching staff. That said, the elephant is obviously will Rourke start or not? If he starts I think we blow them out. If Tayven starts I think we still win, but by around 10-14 points. The key is getting off to a quick start, which we have done all season, but it was Ponds and the D that gave that to us last week. Tayven played well enough last week that I am confident about winning Saturday with him starting. Since this is a prediction thread, I'm going to predict that Rourke starts.

Hoosiers 49
Spartans 16

To quote Pat McAfee, HOOSIERS BY A MILLION!! 🤣

Lol, no that's not my actual prediction. 🤔

Sparty has had a pretty brutal schedule and now suddenly adding Indiana to the list is just piling on 😅. I think this game is probably pretty similar to the Washington game. 🐕 Michigan State will be hungry, it's a trophy game, and winning in East Lansing is not an easy task. All that said, I got:

⚪🔴 Indiana 35 🏆
🟢⚪ Michigan State 21 💩

Hoo-Hoo-Hoo HOOSIERS! 🚬

IU 34
MSU 17

Go Hoosiers!

They play it pretty close to the vest. Last 4 games v. OSU, Oregon, Iowa & Michigan, QB has only thrown it 23 times per game, hitting about 70% of his passes.....3 TDs total, 2 ints. That's much more efficient than in his first 4 games.

Against those 4 teams, they've avg 3.5 ypc while giving up 5.1 ypc.

I'll go with IU 24, MSU 17.

Nothing from their other games says they’ll be able to score enough points to stay with IU, Jackson or Rourke.

But for some reason I see them getting up in the the 20s or maybe even higher on us?

31-27 IU. We get enough, maybe force their QB in to an impotent turnover to two.

INDIANA 69
M$U______0

We beat them, their paid for Ref(s), the spread, and their goofy "special" uniforms while making a Statement...

Cig calls off the Bison at the 4 minute mark while ahead 62-0 but our backups put up another TD on the ground just from muscle memory...

We terrorize their backup Long Snapper into multiple errors on Special Teams and discombobulate their QB into tossing 3 picks while running for his life...

Their Ref(s) just give up and (almost) call it straight for the entire 4th quarter...; while Buck goes on a comedy riff (about the Refs) with Fisch as his straight man that becomes immortalized in INDIANA radio game calls history...

And..., Scott Dolson mandates that "I'm a Believer" by the Monkeys be played when we're up big at the end of the next Home game...(while substituting Their and Them for Her in the sing along words).😉😎
