Curt Cignetti will have a few players returning at RT position, so expect Zen Michalski, 6-6, 319, incoming transfer from Ohio St. to earn the starting role next year. Michalski has one year of eligibility left. Michalski has always been a above average run blocker but has struggled as a pass blocker. This is presumably what has prevented Michalski out of the starting lineup at Ohio St. Michalski was 4th in snaps at tackle last year but saw significant time in weeks 7 & 9 due to injuries at RT & those two games were his worst of the season, allowing 7 pass rushes & 2 sacks.
Bostad's work with Wedig should give Indiana fans an idea how Michalski will improve during his time at Indiana. Wedig, like Michalski, was a former 4* prospect coming out of high school but downgraded to 3* as a transfer. Wedig saw a career-high in snaps at Indiana & still improved to finish the season in the top 20 nationally for his position per PFF.
Michalski is more of a project having posted lower grades at pass rushing than Wedig ever did, but there's no reason to think he won't improve significantly during his time at Indiana with Bostad.

So, we have Cig and Shanahan as QB whisperers, new QB coach came from NFL, Bostad is OL whisperer, and Haines has a great reputation.

Really enjoying things...
I am with you, I love the coaches at IU and the job they do coaching. The best thing is the coaches fit with coach Cignetti as coach Allen got some good coaches but they didn't fit with what he wanted to do.

Wow. Thanks for posting, but wow. Sounds like only depth for us.
