Indiana will seemingly always find uses for receivers in Mike Shanahan's high-powered offense (avg 41pts/game 2024). The Hoosiers had ten different receivers catch passes last season.
Makai Jackson is one of two transfer receivers that Coach Cignetti brought in alongside Tyler Morris. Jackson comes to Indiana with 3 yrs. of college experience, the first being at St Francis (teammate of Elijah Sarratt). There he was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award for top receiver in FCS which propelled him to Appalachian St. There he graded exceptionally well as a receiver & offensive player in general as a ball carrier, avg. 18 ypc. As a player that also seen snaps on ST coverage & returning, it's safe to say Indiana fans will get to know Jackson in some capacity next year.
