IDS front page 1987 national championship

Guys - I have the front page of the three holding the trophy but it was printed on a metal sheet. A friend that was working at the IDS gave it to me. I’m thinking it’s pretty rare - I’m sure many have the paper framed or saved but this is a metal print? Thoughts? Rare or were a bunch made

I don't know how many were made but I think you could order them from the IDS. I used to have or have one around somewhere. Bought when I was I student but been too long to remember the details. I have a signed media guide by most of all of the players that year somewhere too.

The Herald-Times did the same thing for ‘76, ‘81 & ‘87, metal plate reproductions of the front page. I’d assume they’re fairly common. I don’t know the printing process very well, but IIRC they were exactly what they’d use when printing the paper.
