And they’re forced to accept government funding because the only way to be granted an official refugee service organization is approval by of course the US government.

I can't speak to your daughter's situation, but my wife works at Catholic Charities in their refugee education department. In December there were communications to the employees about concerns for the 2025 budget and what would happen, but it was (from my understanding) related to Congress not passing the 2025 budget yet. They found out that the bill was passed either in the last week of December or the first week of January, so no programming had to be cut at all for this calendar year.

My wife's experience would align with what CO Hoosier referenced, so it is confusing to me why the Lutheran Charities would have any funding cut given our experience.
