I see that IU has only a 30% of beating OSU

Saw the B10 breakdown of upcoming games on ESPN earlier and much to his credit, Desmond Howard said that IU is going to give the Buckeyes all they can handle. They then showed a graphic of OSU’s remaining games and percentage of coming away with a win and they gave them a 70% chance to win against us. That might change, but given all we know I’d think 60/40 or even 55/45 would be a better prediction

I’m not going to say my score prediction, but let’s just say that if any of the two teams win going leg away, it’s not going to be the one in scarlet and gray.

How the Michigan game goes will say a lot of how the OSU game will be seen. I think IU cand play a good game with a chance to bear OSU.

Ohio St. has essentially buy games the next two weeks negating IUs bye week on the lead up
No, it still distracts you from preparing, when the opposition can focus 100% on you. Plus, we’re near the end of the season and teams are getting a bit worn and tired. IU should get a slight edge and that might be enough.

If IU beats UM by 2 or more TDs on Saturday I will feel very confident we will beat OSU and that isn’t as much of a testament to UM as it is that the schedule continues to play out how I perceive it based on recent results. If the UM game is close or we lose I will be more hesitant in my prediction. I feel a lot more confident about beating OSU than I did after NW. the way the season has played out across the B1G gives me confidence.

PSU’s ranking is padded by the fact that UI and USC were overrated when they played. Both teams turned out to be average to below average teams. PSU has not beaten anyone any better than who IU has played and OSU’s ranking is padded by the PSU win which may look like a mid win in a few weeks. I think UW and/or MN have a chance to upset PSU. That only leaves OSU with the 1 point loss to Oregon on the road as the best game on their resume. I say IU wins against OSU by 10+ if we remain healthy and beat UM comfortably.

I think OSU is very good. They were within seconds of beating Oregon at Oregon and have beaten every else they have played. The games they have before us should be well in hand by the third quarter and allow starters to rest.
When they play us they will be at home. I think they likely should be the favorites and by how much is a bit of a guess. 70/30 seems reasonable to me. The old IU would have been 95/5.
But first we need to only think about UMich.

Seems fair, probably generous, to me. At OSU is pretty darn hard. I think Ryan Day’s teams have only lost one B1G game at home (UM two years ago).

We can do it, but it’s tough.

thats the kind of win I love to think about over and over.

Way ahead of ourselves but that is the prerogative of a fan, so...

Assuming IU and OSU have no fall off, if IU beats OSU by 10+, given it's in Ohio, where does IU rank? Argument can be made for #1.

Of course we'd then face the Quacks for the B16 crown which a W there would guarantee #1.
