I NEED A COMMITMENT!!!

Watched some highlights. The man is a good scrambler for as tall as he is. Nice arm. Looks good!

I feel for Cherry if he does come. Has a couple years left not just one, right?

Anyway, our receivers will have a good time catching from Fernando! Rourke was near elite, Mendoza can be that level, plus more movement out of the pocket. Just going by the 5 minute youtube highlight.

If your question about years left was referring to Cherry, he still has 3years of eligibility.

Why are so many players bailing from Maryland? Saw a report like 12 heading out and few coming in?

How's their NIL sitch? I would've thought they had a fair bit of NIL.

Glad to get Hemby. (Despite that other discussion of his declining average especially if he hadn't had the 75 yarger against us.)

Historically under Locksley, Maryland always seems to have quite a few guys leave. He has a good recruiting base in the D.C area but they’ve had an average of 25 guys a year transfer out each year.

No, I didn't write it so well. I meant Mendoza if he comes, how long would Cherry and young Mendoza have to wait.

We'll probably lose one pretty quick if they didn't win the spot. Eventually it would be good if Cig shows he can home grow QBs in the Big Ten, otherwise recruits eventually won't come.

Georgia has entered the chat on Mendoza. I hope we have a plan b. Not sure we can compete money wise with GA.
It’s interesting that they were both on the same staff and know each other pretty well with Cig recruiting guys who played under Kirby as the DC. Now, 15 years later, are going head to head in a recruiting war.

I thought Georgia was all in on that Gunner kid,the fans were saying he’s better than Beck lol

The only edge we have going for us is that here Mendoza is a nearly certain starter who'll get a three warmup games before taking on his first real test in playing Illinois here...

At Georgia he gets 2 warmup games before he gets to play his first SEC game at TN..., followed up by playing AL at GA... If they drop one of those two games he's on the bench watching Georgia born and Georgia bred Gunnar Stockton play QB the rest of the way out... (who has a 78% completion rate for the 2024 regular season)...

At Georgia he might even have a tough time beating out the in state guy during Spring and Fall camps... The local boy will have had 3 plus years in the system and will already be the Lead Dog within the Team... Who do you think the locker room will gravitate towards, the new guy originally from Miami, FL or the guy from Georgia who's been there for 3+ years?

Here he's the full season starter, there he's an expensive insurance policy...

Hope he can see that...
