I hope DeVries and company have

been looking at Pharrel Payne. IIRC, IU went after him last offseason. 6'9" 250 and proven big man with experience at Minnesota and Texas A&M. Came up big in A&M's two tournament games.
I hope IU quits wasting money on slow ass one dimensional post playing bigs. They're overvalued and overpriced in the market and have the least amount of impact on winning.

The game is now quickness and mobility, not power. Let teams like Purdue play that archaic boring shit ..

Spend the money on players like L'ville just signed. Pick up defensive role players for the post position or develop them in system. Paying big money for those kind of players is a waste of resource.

Yeah, stupid Purdue. Last 3 years are Elite 8, title game and sweet 16 and a couple b10 titles. And PU's PG seems pretty quick and mobile.

Yeah but according to TMP all that doesn't matter because they're boring.
I understand TMP's concern and point on a player like Payne, but right now the Hoosiers have zero big bodies.. Plus with Payne, that gives them a 6'9" 250 body who is very seasoned and very solid. Have to have someone like this at the current moment.
