.....and the praise from Arute and Davis of what Wilson has done making IU a competitive football program was great. Then a caller who was a Ohio St and VTech fan called in to say he couldn't believe there would possibly be a movement to remove Wilson or people who wanted Wilson out. Then Arute and Davis praised that caller who said he never calls radio shows but felt like he needed to because this is as good as IU has ever looked, etc. Man I wish for these players they could have won on Saturday, I was there and had a blast and badly want Wilson to succeed. And as close as we've been against Ohio St and Michigan we could unfortunately be 0-8 still, and, lose to Maryland and Purdue. Crazy.
Honestly. I'm on the side of keeping Wilson even if we go 0-8. I know that sounds crazy, but man I really want him and the fellas to get these last two. Make it an easy choice K Wilson, please, win these last 2. But, if we lose all 8, we gave this guy a 7 year deal, so to me, that entitles him to a 6th year based on how we've played. Cutcliffe didn't go to a bowl to year 5 and he has Duke very solid. A school with a football issue needs to keep a coach like Wilson. JMHO. Don't extend him if he goes 0-8, but please don't replace him either.
