He is in Louisville at the Gualt house hanging out at Stevie Rays Blues bar taking in the Churchill Downes fall meet. I asked him what he thought about the Indiana Ohio State game. He said we have an opportunity here; He is taking Indiana plus the points along with the money line. Then he started to talk about something I didn't really understand. Betting the spread will allow you to bet the money line like a stock put. 100 on the line plus the points plus 100 on the money line gives you an advantage to win 470 verses a downside of 200. He thinks we will win the game and shock the world. The Capper doesn't work, hangs out at the track and check and can cash a check in any bas in three states.

Yes, that’s a nice hedge. 220 on IU +11.2 pays 400. A win on points and a loss on ML is essentially a wash.

The "hot brown" is the least interesting meal with notoriety ... anywhere ... on the planet. Hope Capper resisted.

Cap used to be a gay guy on the OTF, there were unconfirmed rumors related to VPM, can't remember what they were been a few years

he's right across the street from jeff Rubys can walk over there and get an overpriced steak for about 250 if he has a couple of drinks or could walk a couple more blocks and get some white castles for about 10 bucks, similar quality of meals. the white castle trip does carry a better chance of getting shot though. get you a real hot brown at the brown hotel.

Here's why I like the Hoosiers against the spread (+12.5) and to win (+325):

Oregon 32
OSU 31

Nebraska 17
OSU 21

Penn St 13
OSU 20

I don't think OSU can score enough points to keep up with us.

My nervousness comes from wondering if IU's I Line can keep Rourke clean. I have to think there's some new wrinkles in the passing game that get the ball out quickly. Rourke had some judgement errors last week. I'm hoping he comes out as sharp as he was against Nebraska.

are you still going to beat me up at a pool hall? am I safe to walk into a pool hall for the 1st time in my life?
No. But your basketball opinions are still in question. How would you assume I would know about some obscure thread on the OTF, How many posts do you have on the football forum?

I know basketball not sure what opinions you are talking about, probably have about 30 posts on the football forum

Then I stand corrected.
I think I had the same misunderstanding once. Cap (short for Capitol Hoosier) was the poster, who was out of the closet and good natured about it, if I remember correctly.

The Capper (short for The Handicapper), if I understand correctly, is a noble hustler, greasing his way through every run down pool hall and bookie shop in Southern Indiana, Southern Illinois, and Northern Kentucky.
