I have officially reached peak apathy!

I didn’t care enough to look when the game was this week. A friend pinged me about a bet, which reminded me it was today (Wed), and I didn’t give enough shits to even turn it on or lookup the stats or score. I found out we lost from another unsolicited text.

I’ll watch here for news of the impending firing, but this program is in shambles and I’m done. I hope they can inject life back in with a home run hire, but I’m guessing they will **** that up too. At least there are good UFC fights often and I’ll wait for football season. IU BB is dead.

I agree 100%. This is what happens when the program is ran by a bunch of idiots. As we all know, The only excitement I get is I hope we lose every game.

I just read Illinois counties want to secede to Indiana...lol.

That's how it starts, fellas.

It's over...unless we all pull back and cool our jets...remember where we came from/been through.

Otherwise...it's irreconcilable differences/irretrievable breakdown time.

Seceding makes sense to me. Why would anyone want to stay in Illinois??!!

You reach peak apathy right when we get better? WTF? We finally had our first loss that was in single digits.

Somebody last night was claiming at half that this team had turned it around. At first I thought it was satire.

Yeah, it's hard to hold on to the dream.

It's not the winning and losing, it's the how-it's-played. Crean's first year Scrub Allstars were more enjoyable to watch then this group.

I don't put the bulk of the blame on the players. As we saw vs. OSU, when they get serious, this team can put it together. These players have talent. The problem is, just like under Archie, some level of not listening has, I want to say 'crept in' but really, it's been there all season.
These guys are good but are missing connection and real, focused motivation. Vs OSU, motivation was supplied by idiot fans like us. That should not be a thing. We're not getting millions. And in the long run, it's counter productive. I didn't want Woodson, but thought with coach Thad plus Dane as a bonus, we had a pretty good set-up. Then.... Woodson must fix this. IMO Woodson can, but he's going to have to clear out his beloved entourage.

* I am dumbfounded on how bad Trey is this year. I've had a very high opinion of him since his freshman year but wow, he seems no better than he was as a sophomore and that is tragic.
 
Carlisle got extended minutes with Rice foul trouble and looked like he had turned corner vs OSU but he got to watch Leal get the start and he only played 14 minutes in NW game. What a downer for Carlisle. IU needs him to be good and play like he did in OSU game. Seems like giving him the start alongside Rice would have been good timing to see if he could build on his solid OSU showing plus see the rice/Carlisle dream backcourt.

Nothing against Leal as he has been making some nice plays and bringing energy. His defense for 30+ minutes gets exposed.

If you were truly at peak of apathy, you would'nt post about your peak of apathy. This is just a call for needed attention.
