Earlier in the week I posted that I thought the defense would have to hold Penn State to less than 10 points to win. I think there is a lot more upside with Cameron as the backup. He hung tough in the pocket even though the inexperienced running backs kept missing their blocks. And he can throw the ball with accuracy.

This past week the board was very quiet about Sudfeld being unavailable. I thought that everyone showed tremendous restraint about the qb situation. Yes, the coaches said they had a lot of confidence in Zander. What else would you expect them to say? Anybody that though Zander was going to lead the Hoosiers to the promised land was to say the least very optimistic.

Oh, and Temple is pretty good.

I'm starting to feel.....0 and 8 in the conference. This is not a good football team in any phase.

We will get NS & JH back next week or the following. We were never an 8 win team like so many spouted. But were not an 0-8 team either either. A bowl is still possible as soon as our starters are back imo. Maintain an even strain....a litany for any IU FB fan.

Not a chance. This is petty and petulant, all or nothing, were gonna win them all or none at all. Neither was, is, or will be true. We just got beat short handed in a place we've never won. You really thought we were going to win? Lol look the defense only gave up 8 points more than many predicted after being stranded on the field all day by an offense that was missing its top two leaders. We are not that deep in first tier players. The outcome was predicted by many here, shouted down by those who refused to see OSU played down to our level, as they usually do. This is not the seasons end. Grab your jock strap and suck it up. Lots more FB to play and a bowl to earn. Back on the horse...IU fans.

Next week Sudfeld and Howard should be back. I am hoping that Cameron can get in for a series or two. Rutgers' defense will not be able to focus so much on the run. Hopefully the defense will have a good week of practice. I think IU will be favored.

I'm looking at the positive which is IU should have lost the SIU game and could have lost the Wake game, but they didn't. They found a way to win (or is that to not lose)?

So instead of sitting at 2-4 or 3-3, IU has four wins with 5 winnable games left (assuming Nate and Howard are back at full strength for Rutgers).
