If we had played with that effort every game we would be in much better shape.

The additional frustrating thing, Woodson makes it sound like Leal went from last player on the bench to the glue that holds the team together overnight. As if he was struck by lightning. It seems obvious to me Woodson looked at Leal and just thought, "no way he is athletic enough." Once he had to play, he showed he could.
Hate to have it reduced to this but at least we had everybody out there in an INDiANA jersey looking like they actually cared about the outcome...

Yeah, I agree. It also would have been helpful if Woodson managed the end of the last two games correctly. In the Maryland game we had only 1 timeout and the ball in Rice’s hands, who was playing well, on the last position and he calls his last timeout. This game we have 2 timeouts and the ball in the wrong person hands and he doesn’t call a timeout. His feel for the flow of games is awful at times.
Few can but Woodson just isn't a very good coach. Time to move on.
He deserves an extension.

You are a bit more down on him than I. I would never play the two bigs together. Give eleven 30 minutes and five 10 minutes. I don't have any idea what Woodson thinks he sees in Reneu and Ballo together. I don't get why he wants to play Reneu so much, but the two cannot be on the floor together even if he is right about Reneu.
In some ways he reminds me of Bracey Wright, if Reneu takes every shot he can score 30.
I agree re 30/10 but he’ll transfer before that happens.
Woodson plays two bigs because he’s stuck in the past and/or is trying to be like Cleveland but doesn’t realize he’s missing top guards and dangerous perimeter shooters.
The fact that IU has not had a good shooting team in recent memory drives me insane. How is that possible?
Going back to Archie we’ve only had big men excel. It’s crazy.
JHS was “good” but wasn’t great and his shooting was very suspect.
I wonder if he made some promises to Reneau and is trying to keep them. I am trying to recall is JHS or MR committed first.
Woodson has the faults we all know about. But he has one area I will give him credit for. Ware played well for Woodson, Ballo is doing the same.

But, I am not really that upset about last night, the Coogan news was so good that another loss in a lost season doesn't matter.

The dude is 6’9 and still can’t turn over his left shoulder and make a f#cking layup with his right hand. It drives me insane. I wouldn’t let him leave the gym until he did 500 of them each day.
