If the streak goes to Sr. night could we loose to Rutgers at home? I this plays out how can we not make a change?

If they keep playing the way they are playing then they wont win another game including Rutgers. If there is some bad apples or bad chemistry then start playing the players who are going to give effort. At least give the young guys some experience

What happened internally within the team to go from 12-2 and ranked in top 25, and defeating top 25 ranked Marquette, Louisville, Butler, Michigan State to losing now?

No way Indiana loses out. I think you will win a couple more. Archie will right the ship

I don't think it matters at this point if there is some behind the scenes/locker room/chemistry issues sabotaging the team. While just speculation, seems like Archie is ready to turn the page to his guys (Race, Forrester, Damezi) even if they are not as developed as he'd like. I do not know how ready Race is but would like to see Davis, Race, Morgan. romeo, and Rob get a shot as a unit.

Next yr tjd, Davis, and hunter will be a nice nucleus. Archie will build his team, it just takes time. I think tjd can be better than what Romeo has done. He’s a stud

I am not counting Hunter until I see him on the court. Especially not knowing what exactly took him out in the first place.

How did this same IU team hammer Marquette earlier in the season, and defeat Louisville, Butler, and Michigan State in East Lansing? That tells me this IU does have enough talent to win and compete in the B1G. IU does need better perimeter shooting and more healthy big bodies in the post.

Plenty of talent you don't beat those teams without it, any team can get lucky but not 4 times.

Go back and revisit Bracey Wright's freshman year.

Started hot, got up to #8 in the country and then died in a mess of chemistry issues.

Bracey was the annointed savior, Mr. Help is on the Way. I think was the Maui MVP when we started the year winning that.

But he was an aloof personality and Davis force fed him because he thought he was his key to prove that he was a great coach for five stars to go to and get to the league.

Eventually the team saw through it and cracked.

The upperclassmen were Coverdale, Hornsby, Newton and AJ Moye. A core of dudes who went to the title game the year prior (with JJ and Fife).

But it was obvious there was team dissention. Just like this year.

It wasn't Bracey's fault just like it's not Romeo's fault, but 'saviors' come with the risk of team chemistry. See Trae Young.

Bracey was a five star shooting guard who averaged over 16 points his freshman year.

Yea but Archie called Romeo the most coach able player he has ever had, I don't think Romeo is the problem if anything it's jealousy of Romeo by players who think they are good and have not been giving proper roles.

Meh, You have an agenda against Romeo because the Langford's slammed Caliscum.

Romeo isn't perfect and has been just fine on a team that is a mess. I'm pretty sure that Archie would love to have Romeo stick around another year even if he played like he has this season.

I have nothing against Romeo. He was never considering uk. He’s a very good player, but has very little help. He’s not great at one thing. He’s good at driving and scoring, but shooting is not his strong suit

That's not true in the least. At one point UL and UK were the top two teams on Romeo's list. But the UL scandals happened. Then he played on the Under 18 team, hurt his back and his dad spent too much time bad mouthing Cal and his decision making. They tried to get back in with UK but Cal shut that down quickly.

We were looking at him early in the process, but he wanted to be the man. His dad also had a lot of control over him. His dad isn’t as bad as lavar but cal wasn’t going to bow down to him . It was best for both parties that he went elsewhere

Bracey wasn't a problem child either. The issue was that Mike Davis kissed his ass in front of the team and coached differently.

The question for me is Archie kissing Romeo's ass (I think he is, he's coaching scared) and like with Bracey's team, the team can see through it.

I don't know what happened, none of us do. The team was killed by chemistry issues. Maybe they were there all year. Maybe the rumors that Green got on and challenged Romeo and Miller punished Green in a 'you don't go after Romeo' are true which caused the team to pick sides.

I don't know.

All I know is there's no reason for last year's team to be better than this year's team when all we basically did was sub out Romeo for Robert Johnson.

It reminds me of the Bracey 'Help is on the way' seasons.

At least that team still got to the second round of the tournament

Hold on loosely...if you cling too tightly you’re going to lose control..of the team....

& you would know about loose, considering your school's "colors" are black & loose bowel. I use the word "colors" "loosely", just as Purdue does.

Actually, I think that you have anatomical confusion. If a school's colors were "black and loose bowel" then they would be black and brown or black and black - assuming fecal occult hemoglobin in the latter case.

Hey, I'm not going to argue with you--that's most certainly your "area" of expertise.
