Generally when I am on 465 the speed is 7.Indiana bill passes for the speed limit from 55 to 65. So expect drivers to now drive 75-85. Everyone was driving 65-75 anyways. About time, but wouldn’t be surprised to see more deaths in the construction zone.
Dodge Chargers will drive 100 regardless and as well as the crotch rockets.
An old friend of mine is a fire chief in the Indy area and he told me about a pretty gruesome skidding/sliding accident involving a crotch rocket on 465. It’s been more than a few years ago, but basically the guy lost control going insanely fast and parts of him were smeared for a few hundred yards along the highway.Dodge Chargers will drive 100 regardless and as well as the crotch rockets.
It’s never really bothered me much when people speed. What does piss me off are the drivers weaving through traffic without using a signal. Just let me know where you’re going is all I ask. They’re not just putting their lives at stake, it’s everyone else’s too.An old friend of mine is a fire chief in the Indy area and he told me about a pretty gruesome skidding/sliding accident involving a crotch rocket on 465. I always think of that when crotch rockets come up.

I received a warning letter from a photo ticket. They’re not messing around. It has to be on the north side between Keystone and 69. I’m almost always on the west side to avoid headed east and south. I am happy they’ve finished the south side project near 69 south.Oh I am still shocked at the northeast side, we were up there yesterday. Signs are everywhere that the speed limit is 45, and photo ticketing is in effect. Remembering their media campaign of "under 9 and you are fine", I slowed to 53. It was pretty crazy. There was one other car I noticed that slowed down like that. If they are doing photo enforcement, Marion County should be rich beyond compare.
On the way home, we went around the west side. 465 has a very split personality. My Waze always wants me to take the east side, but the west side is far less stressful.
On an interstate, it is less this, but part of the traffic debate is between commuters and people who live there. People who live in an area want to prioritize safety, and people who commute through want to prioritize speed.
If trump could concoct a way to eliminate dodge chargers crime in this country would plummet. The car is a public nuisance. It’s a shame for the 1 percent of old MOPAR white guys that drive them but the remaining 99% are either being driven by a crip or Jesse pinkman.Dodge Chargers will drive 100 regardless and as well as the crotch rockets.
We live south side and almost always take 69 to 465 west to go anywhere north side. It’s typically faster and much safer.I am still shocked at the northeast side, we were up there yesterday. It is so strange, I use either Waze or Maps to go to/from Fishers. Both tell me to take the east. But many times when I take the west, it doesn't add time to my estimated arrival. So it must simply be looking at fuel mileage. We live south side and almost always take 69 to 465 west to go anywhere north side. It’s typically faster and much safer.

Throw in banning the Burger King commercial and trump would go down as the greatest president in history
Construction zone now has cameras that will automatically give a warning 1st and then start giving tickets automatically to anyone going 11 mph over the construction zone speed.Indiana bill passes for the speed limit from 55 to 65. Interesting, so they are sending the notices. Curious that so many were ignoring it yesterday if they have been receiving notices. Not everyone could have been someone only on it once every few weeks like me.I received a warning letter from a photo ticket. They’re not messing around. When we lived in Pennsylvania and visited Indiana we always watched our speed because we were out of staters. Going around 465 I would make sure we stayed in the middle lanes.Indiana bill passes for the speed limit from 55 to 65. So expect drivers to now drive 75-85. Everyone was driving 65-75 anyways. I think the reason a lot of people speed thru construction zones is the fact that about 90% of the time there is NO construction going on. A more appropriate label would be "Barrel Zone".Indiana bill passes for the speed limit from 55 to 65. So expect drivers to now drive 75-85. Everyone was driving 65-75 anyways. Completely agree. With 69, there were so many times you were driving in a 45 construction zone but couldn’t tell if you were. Then you get run over by everyone else doing 80 and you have to drive with the traffic.I think the reason a lot of people speed thru construction zones is the fact that about 90% of the time there is NO construction going on. I sure hope I-69 doesn't become a toll road. Oh how I hate toll roads. Are they still planning to turn it and other highways into toll roads? This would offset the deficit caused by the new and unnecessary property tax rates.
Me too but I kinda understand why they do it.... the people who use it most pay more. However, if we used that criteria a person that doesn't have kids wouldn't pay property taxes to support school. It omens down that we have to pay some taxes simply for the public good.I sure hope I-69 doesn't become a toll road. Oh how I hate toll roads.

My dad has started calling those orange cones the Indiana state flower. They're always popping up.

It's amazing how something becomes the fad and they go crazy doing it everywhere. Roundabouts have been in Europe for years....all of a sudden they are an answer to every problem. On the bright side, there are very few intersections left that need roundabout conversion so we should see a slow down on new construction there.
In IN also and construction season is a lot longer. The never finish anything.... every project takes months even it putting culvert across the road.In MN there are two seasons - winter and construction season
I was in Indy last week on I465 going 70, along with the rest of the traffic, and got passed by a cop who evidently wasn't on a run - no lights. Charlotte is way worse than Indy when it comes to weaving in and out of traffic. They all think they're NASCAR driversIt’s never really bothered me much when people speed. Alright pal that Camaro comes to $36,654. We’re ready to go. Congratulations!!!Charlotte is way worse than Indy when it comes to weaving in and out of traffic. They all think they're NASCAR drivers

I have to admit if I’m speeding by say 10-15mph and I’m in the far left and passing cars I’m not moving over to the right so some asshole speeding by an extra 15mph can get past me. To me that’s different than some driving slow in the passing lane not going past anyone. And when I look in my mirror they look so damn pissed off. F’em.Eppy, was a front seat passenger on a trip from Indy to Milwaukee with the constantly weaving lane changer you described.
She drove between 80 to 90 mph. The cars driving at a steady 70 to 80 mph and predictably not changing lanes made it possible for her to weave our way to Milwaukee without an incident.
The unsettling habit she had was taking her eye off the road as she constantly reached for her potato chip snacks and drink cup from the console.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you see more weaving drivers in cities NASCAR fans.Charlotte is way worse than Indy when it comes to weaving in and out of traffic. They all think they're NASCAR drivers
