You maybe right. From what I've read passive investing flows have basically distorted price discovery. Supposedly current valuations are off the charts. It smells and walks like a ponzi scheme to me. Maybe was a different story 30 years ago.

I'm glad you have some perspective. I was in crypto before it was cool to be into crypto. I liked some of the libertarian and scientific aspects. Thought it was cool. Now it's just another wall st tool and a ponzi scheme. I suppose it was always a ponzi scheme imo. About the only real use I see is remittances using (un)stable USD linked coins. Blockchain maybe cool, but I see no point in crypto. If you knew tomorrow there wasn't another buyer you wouldn't be holding.
What makes Bitcoin better than any of the other coins that claim to have better and more secure protocols and maybe faster?
If tomorrow there was no buyer of your Bitcoin would you still hold today?
I suggest reading "The Bitcoin Stanard" to better understand all the advantages
Why would there be no buyers tomorrow? Humans have always wanted to save their time and energy in something. Bitcoin is the best asset/money for doing that.

Maybe the reasons employers block social media sites at work is because it is wrong. Just another reason to make people go back to work instead of working remotely with no supervision.

When I first started, we used to route around the phone log and you had to reimburse for personal calls. And this was at a Fortune 50 company.
I was new at the time, but told my manager we waste more damn money routing that phone list than the money being recouped. By a lot.
Now no one even has desk phones.
