wow. he's not going to like what he has waiting for him. Because it's nothing. Literally.
They haven't even made the NCAA tourney in 20 yrs. All the big time recruits from Chicago get bought by the big programs. Always have...only now NIL makes it legal.
Chicago has always been pay-to-play, even for college recruitment.

To me he and Archie are linked as they both moved to big schools at the same time. Didn’t work too well for either unfortunately (aside from $).

They have a recruit signed for next year so that's one more than IU.
Holtmann previously successful in the Big East with Butler and can recruit at a high level. I think this is a good landing spot for him and he can make DePaul moderately successful. Looking at the Illinois recruits outside the top-50 they have been going to schools I'd assume DePaul could compete with: Minnesota, Northwestern, K-State, Loyola. DePaul even was in there a few times so there is some sway for in state kids. I think is a good pairing and Holtmann might surprise, though it might be wishful thinking because I'd love better college product in Chicago.
Looking this up made me realize how cancer Rivals is for searching for recruiting. I had to go to 24/7 to go by class by year so the stats are from there. Has the boards computer skills, or lack thereof, rubbed off on me or does it actually just show top recuits by year with no other search paremeters?
