Help with TDS

You did post it directly to Aloha in another thread. Did you take it down there?

Edit to add: I see you did a lot of cleaning up over on the "Verdict" thread. Did DANC tell you to?

I decided rather than call out anyone I’d make a thread for those needing therapy.

It seems democrats are handling the Trump win better than Never Trumpers.

Well then, I will repeat my review here:
That video is little more than 24 minutes of Trumporn. Did it get you excited?
That being said, I watched the first 15 seconds before I chuckled, turned it off, and realized the absurd level of worship necessary to think it is anything other than total bullshit.

Trump Devotion Syndrome is a real thing. Those afflicted with it emulate Trump’s worst traits.

I think the only sensible thing to do — be it with Trump or any other politician — is to support them when they’re right, oppose them when they’re wrong, defend them when they warrant it, refrain from defending the indefensible.

I will make no apologies for my well-supported opinion that Donald Trump is a reckless person and a con artist who (among other things) spread a malicious lie about the 2020 election outcome.

However, I also found myself nodding along in agreement with him the other day when he was discussing Hong Kong companies operating critical infrastructure at the Panama Canal.

He’s 100% right about that - or at least to find it unacceptable that Chinese controlled companies have those contracts. Really, we never should’ve ceded control over the canal. One of Carter’s worst legacies, IMO.

It’s a fcking sarcasm for those afflicted with TDS. They can see how silly they look if they watch.

Weak.
Calling out Trump for all his less than ethical acts and words is not TDS. Being a Republican who refused to bend the knee to him is not a sign of weakness.
Do you think you have exhibited BDS the last 4 years, or is that different?

Your unbiased opinion. 😂

I concur 100 percent with that. Those that can't get past my disdain for Trump do not remember when I defended his policies or unfair attacks for what he's said. I also agree that China influence on the canal is a problem to be addressed, and I also opposed Carter's plan to return control of the canal to Panama.

Agreed. Tribalism pushes people to choose their team over everything else.

It’s fine to support or oppose a politician generally. But when that ends up precluding you from agreeing with them or opposing them on virtually anything, your priorities have gotten out of whack.

I generally opposed Biden - and also on most of his policies. But I’ve defended big portions of his foreign policy - specifically in Ukraine and Israel. In fact, I think he’s been steadfast in those.

In fact, we may be seeing historical positive change happening in the Middle East right now. I was stunned how quickly Assad fell, for instance. Iran is becoming increasingly isolated. And Biden stands to get a lot of historical credit for it if these sorts of developments continue and hold.

help?

for those who missed it the 1st time
