It’s always a bummer to lose a guy, but it seems clear his opportunities here are dwindling.

I'm pulling for him to get past his control issues. Coach Mercer said more than once that when he has good control, he has some of the best stuff on the pitching staff. He may pitch against us down the road like maybe next season, but I certainly wish him the best.

The pitching coach for ISU this past year was Justin Hancock he lived in my neighborhood and we are still friends especially with his wife Tessa. Tessa is the all time leading scorer for girls basketball at Terre Haute South. Justin made it up to the Cubs but he finally called a career after too many Tommy John surgeries. His last season was in Japan or actually the DL. An ISU guy told me they lost there top assistant and Justin might be in line to get that job.

It will be interesting to see if he can get Luke to have better control.
