He has to test the open market, right? If his agent isn’t advising him to open it up to a bidding process, how will he know what he’s worth?

If Nigel Pack’s agent got him an alleged deal for $450k from, LOL, Miami, how much is Jackson-Davis worth? Twice that, easily.

Do you think Illinois would like to have him? How about UCLA? Texas? Kentucky? Kansas? Michigan State?

Jackson-Davis is in a unique position to make history. His game does not presently translate to the NBA, but he is dominant at the college level.

He can make major coin next year if he plays this right.

You are a fool for even suggesting it. He will get $500k+ at IU with a chance to break many IU career records. Unlike Purdue with Pack, we can afford to pay market value.
I’m laughing at $500k, and Jackson-Davis’s agent will too.

Jackson-Davis could be college basketball’s first million dollar player. That’s the record he should be shooting for.

Lol you think just because Purdue can’t afford recruits that IU can’t. Apparently you haven’t been following IU basketball recruiting.
No, it’s quite the opposite. I’m suggesting that in order to find out what he’s worth, Jackson-Davis must enter free agency.

Oscar at UK got $2 million to come back. You just sound down when you say things like this because it’s obvious you don’t follow it.

That’s going to be an interesting case if he doesn’t get his visa revoked.

One of them will.
We’ll yea DGL has been on decommitment watch since he committed to Purdue. Purdue was his only offer. Why wouldn’t Colvin do the same as you suggest TJD will? He clearly could get more elsewhere.

It will be funny to watch Purdue struggle to determine if they should try to donate NIL to their basketball or football team. Purdue sports is screwed, and I’m all for it!

Burn it down!
Purdue will be nothing but a bit player in both.

I hear Purdue offered him a $20 gift card to XXX, early admission to the sheep barn on friday night and an autographed picture of the creepiest mascot in all of sports.
Then you need a hearing aid to go along with that Prevagen, hoss.

Purdue didn’t offer a dime.

Why do you think AOC didn’t enter the portal? He could have made significantly more NIL elsewhere. Goes against your TJD logic.

Purdue football and basketball are screwed moving forward.

He still can, no?
No, he can’t. He didn’t even test the waters. You argument is BS. As long as TJD doesn’t stay in the draft he will be back at IU.

What do you think Purdue will be preseason ranked in the B1G with those horrible guards you project to play? 7th or 8th? Yikes. Makes your choke against the Peacocks even worse.

Yeah they did. Internships. That was their NIL.
Lol I do find it quite funny that Purdue thought that was some huge accomplishment in the NIL department.

“Hey we know other schools are offering hundreds of thousands of dollars, but have you heard about our athlete only career fair? You could get an internship at a multi dollar company!!!”
