Alleged lawyers shouting down others

I hope they all flunk the bar

Looks like they already shouted themselves out of some clerkships

We hates the nasty little Bagginses
Do the Yalies even have to take the bar exam? Aren’t they special or something.

They probably shouted themselves into clerkships with the likes of Kagen, Sotomayor and Brown-Jackson. The disfunction of all three branches of government is now complete.

I’m sure they oppose actual testing as unfair.

I wouldnt hire a social justice fool to make copies. They dont believe in equal justice under law - they beleive in selective justice for “their” “kind.”

They'd happily violate the civil rights of anybody who doesn’t toe thier line.

Bunch of little Eichmanns.

I doubt you'll find anyone supporting this bullshit. But it did give COH an opportunity to bash the Court's liberals, so there's that.
Woah! Do you really consider my comment that these woke Yale law students have the inside track to a liberal justice clerkship to be a bash? You need to turn in your liberal card. I stated an obvious objective fact that was the flip side of the OP.

oof for short.

So many of you act like Yale is some diehard bastion of liberalism. Think instead of the Bushes and other monied legacies. While class diversity efforts have nudged the median student leftwards, I think that any spoiled rich conservative still feels right at home.

IU benefited from elite East Coast schools refusing to hire top Jewish professors in the 1950s and 60s.

...except in this case it’s canceling the cancelers...

To me most telling is that if you watch the video of the so-called shout down, there is far more listening than shouting. Another hot-air headline.
Yeah, I've read a little bit more of the shout down and there are some pieces missing from the full story.

Also, I believe the story was first reported by the same author that hooky linked above. If you look at the author's other stories and who they work for, then you can see an obvious slant.

Edit: That video is hilarious.

Somewhat related to the OP.

"Takeover"

lmao.

and probably intellectually extremely dishonest.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Most of the questions were yawners. Then, an associate in her late twenties stood up. She said there were lawyers at the firm who were “uncomfortable” with Boies representing disgraced movie maker Harvey Weinstein, and she wanted to know whether Boies would pay them severance so they could quit and focus on applying for jobs at other firms. Boies, who declined to comment for this article, said no".

A) per the author himself, we're talking about one atty out of "100 or so" "uncomfortable" with the representation of Weinstein.

what about the other 99 who didn't say anything?

is 1 out of 100 now considered a "takeover"???????

B) the implication with no backing is that the "1" atty out of 100 who said she was "uncomfortable" with said representation, was so because she didn't think Weinstein was worthy of representation, when she absolutely never said that that we know of, or implied it, per the author's own words.

i would argue just as or more likely her or anyone else, if so, being "uncomfortable" with said representation, was due to possible financial and otherwise professional ramifications it could have on her, as any stink pursuant to the representation of Weinstein wouldn't necessarily be confined to Boies himself as the representing atty.

the firm itself could, likely would, take on some stink as well, and thus the "her" in question would take some on as well, especially if her client base had a particular slant to it that said Weinstein representation by the firm might be an issue for her with.

just as or more likely any objection was financially and professionally based, and had nothing to do with any wokeness or thinking not everyone should have a defense.

nice try though, by both the author and by "Common Sense", which i'll guess is a right wing propaganda publication.
