I’m just glad this particular piece of red meat thrown to the white nationalist part of his base is largely meaningless and doesn’t really impact anyone.
I heard remaining McKinley is what drove gas and grocery prices up. So this is awesome!

I don’t think anyone cares. This is a collective shrug at best. Just about everyone who lives in DC still calls one of their airports “National Airport.”

Walking the dog this morning, I chatted with a MAGA neighbor. He said prices of everything are going to drop right away. I asked why, and he said that inflation is going to drop to 2%. I remarked that this would mean that, overall, prices of things would go up by 2%. He looked at me with a blank look, like a cow pondering a passing train. Just. Doesn't. Get. It. Like a dmb twitter twit.
And they’ll have to spend more money on new maps and all the commemorative Trump posters, shirts and coins with the new names on them.
Being grifted is a costly endeavor. Credit card debt might skyrocket over the next four years.
Changing the name of the gulf doesn’t change territorial waters or economic zones. None of that is tied to the name. It’s just a poke in Mexico’s eyes.
The Persian Gulf doesn’t belong to Persia (Iran). The Indian Ocean doesn’t belong to India. They’re. Just historical names that go on nautical charts.
I went to the Trump Store to see if they were already selling commemorative maps, and I couldn't find any, but I did learn (ALERT @mcmurtry66) Trump has his own pickleball collection
I flew to and from Reagan National about 8 times a year every year for more than 10 years. I don’t recall anyone calling it anything other than Reagan National or just Reagan, but I probably wouldn’t notice if anyone referred to it as National. As a big Reagan fan I always said Reagan National.

I’m guessing your flights were during your time in the military, which is totally understandable that they’d take some pride in Reagan’s name attached to that airport.
I was mainly involved with the greater NW DC crowd/community. At least from my perspective, that was one of the more liberal places I’ve lived in my life.
