There are rumors that both may be returning for another season. Though, it's highly unlikely since Leal played 11 games in the 2023 season.

As one of the resident Leal apologists on this board... even I am ready for him to start what I'm sure will be a very successful real estate career. There are rumors that both may be returning for another season. Though, it's highly unlikely since Leal played 11 games in the 2023 season.

Did anyone at the end of the bench survive Sampson >Dakich >Crean?Would Leal be the first to ever play for 3 different coaches?
Erick Suhr probably..Did anyone at the end of the bench survive Sampson >Dakich >Crean?
Kyle TaberErick Suhr probably..
I suspect he is pretty busy not only with the Realtor group but far more interesting is Motion Sports which he co founded. Software that allow student athletes, coaches and administrators manage everything from scheduling, compliance, roster management and NIL.Goode is fine given his experience at Illinois.
I’d prefer to move on from Leal. I don’t want him spreading Woody-itis in the locker room and frankly I don’t like him very much. But, if CDD is okay with him I’d get over it. I guess he can defend.
Leal could actually be honored at Senior day, three yrs straight. Even Jess Settles couldn’t pull that off.If Leal is on the roster we don’t make the tournament. Why would a coach want a culture of losing back? All Leal has done is get coaches fired, DD can be the third if he has Leal on the squad.
Seriously, after missing the one and ones to kiss the tournament goodbye , I would think every fan would be right with me in never wanting to see him in uniform again.
There's really no thread, that I can think of, that would lead to Leal getting another year of eligibility. Even IF the courts rule in favor of the 5th year, he'd have to get the NCAA to rule that the year he only appeared in 11 games, could be a redshirt year. The NCAA would be salty over the 5th year court rulings, I'm sure. So basically zero chance they'd grant him another year. The Goode part of that has been known since the end of the season.
Leal is news to me, but I don't see how that would work. He's got his 5 years and was never hurt. He needs to go focus on his post basketball future.
He didn’t already have 6 years? I’m seriously asking. The Goode part of that has been known since the end of the season.

He just needs to move on to his real estate career full time. He's going to be very successful at it.Leal could actually be honored at Senior day, three yrs straight. Even Jess Settles couldn’t pull that off.
This makes no sense to me.
Have you talked to clients or other realtors like Jason about him? I asked a realtor about him and she laughed. He just needs to move on to his real estate career full time. He's going to be very successful at it.

So...I suspect, whoever linked Leal with Goode in all this originally, is trolling.
Spill the beans plsthey got the wrong player; there is a good chance someone returns
I laugh at all realtors. 90% of them are useless, do nothing except show up at closing to get their check.Have you talked to clients or other realtors like Jason about him? I asked a realtor about him and she laughed.
Going forward they will be playing for four different coaches if things don't change with the portal.Would Leal be the first to ever play for 3 different coaches?
I think we all just have to chill.....Have you talked to clients or other realtors like Jason about him? I asked a realtor about him and she laughed.
100% move on from Leal no interest in having him " run it back" again. Plus we do not need anymore guards.Goode is fine given his experience at Illinois.

was asked not to, if 5th year is granted, we are in a great position to land the Clemson kid, no one has reported thatSpill the beans pls
Obviously this could change if the 5th year is granted...but it sounds like he's gonna give football a try, and play for Dabo.was asked not to, if 5th year is granted, we are in a great position to land the Clemson kid, no one has reported that
Ah, nah, just assumed he'd have good connections etc. Maybe he's as good at real estate as he is bball, lol.Have you talked to clients or other realtors like Jason about him? I asked a realtor about him and she laughed.

IU isn't going to fair well against big front courts if they end up with those two. Any foul trouble by Bailey,Harris and the other guy and IU is very small. Bigs will eat them alive.Goode is fine given his experience at Illinois.

I would take another year of Luke. He was only guy on team last year that consistently was 100% on board.I'm ready for Goode to move on as well. Clean sweep.
Another big, that fits CDD's program, would obviously help. But we have effective length at the 1-4 positions, so if/when needed, we can go with Bailey/Alexis/Harris 5 man rotation. That's plenty of depth. An injury to one of them mainly just limits the amount of time we could play 2 of them on the floor at the same time. We're not in any sort of desperate situation, big men wise.IU isn't going to fair well against big front courts if they end up with those two. He announced yesterday he's returning to Clemson to play football.was asked not to, if 5th year is granted, we are in a great position to land the Clemson kid, no one has reported that
Forget foul trouble, what about injury? No way he's going into next season with this as his frontcourt unless he just runs out of options. In that case, Goode would make a lot of sense. He battles and might do better against bigger opponents, than smaller quicker ones. And, he can shoot. Great guy to have out there with other shooters. Someone will always be open. I'd guess we sign some sort of additional frontcourt option and still take Goode if he is available.IU isn't going to fair well against big front courts if they end up with those two. I thought Gallo & Leal were as well. Rest of them at times were like, just give me the money.I would take another year of Luke. He was only guy on team last year that consistently was 100% on board.
Agreed on their effort but they have played 5 years already. Time to move on.I thought Gallo & Leal were as well. Rest of them at times were like, just give me the money.
Foul trouble or injuries to any of our couple of bigs and you are correct. Leal needs to move on isn't he like 23 or 24 already.IU isn't going to fair well against big front courts if they end up with those two. I had heard that rumor but knew it was nothing more than a rumor so I did not bring it up here. I've commented many times previously that he has been my favorite player in college basketball the past two seasons. No one got more out of their talent than Ian Scheffelein.was asked not to, if 5th year is granted, we are in a great position to land the Clemson kid, no one has reported that
So how does that work? is he now eligible to play 4 years of college football?I had heard that rumor but knew it was nothing more than a rumor so I did not bring it up here. Ian is going to be playing football for Clemson in the fall. He's going to be given a shot at tight end (they hope he's a red zone target). That's not a rumor, it has been commented on by Dabo Swinney.

Swinney Comments on Schieffelin – The Clemson Insider
CLEMSON, S.C. — Head Coach Dabo Swinney announced today that Clemson Football has added former Clemson basketball star Ian Schieffelin as a tight end. “I’m excited about Ian’s addition,” Swinney said. “He is a great competitor with high level success at the college level. The NCAA is a total joke and probably will give run it back a sixth year. These guys really should not still be playing college ball at 24 and 25 imo but the NCAA makes it very easy for them to do so.Agreed on their effort but they have played 5 years already. Time to move on.
